Freelancers dies from exposure

Hey folks! It's kinda late, but it's time for this month's $5 dollar secret comics download update!

The file name is a joke, of course, but I don't want to talk about the original title too much. I drew these two stories back to back, full colors and all, way back is 2012 (I think?), and they were supposed to go to an anthology of short stories about this top hat character. The first one was proposed to me by my dude Steve Orlando, who was hunting for writing gigs and artists to work with back then, and I loved his story about giant cannibalistic nephilim very much. And ALSO we were promised some EXPOSURE, duh, so it was pure fun to me!

We finished our story pretty fast, and then the editor approached me individually with the second story, written by "a History Channel writer", because the initial artist has jumped ship. Sure, I drew the second story, too! It was also kinda fun, and I was sure to get A LOOOT of exposure for doing 20 pages for an anthology...

And then the anthology was never published.

After this clusterfuck of promises and waiting Steve and I were finally lucky to get on another anthology (which was actually printed) first and then hit a jackpot with our UNDERTOW pitch at the same NYCC.
