What’s MIB?

James Stavola

Maybe it might be Thomas that’s the banker

Evan

Judging by the puffing I am willing to bet this mysterious banker is a tender engine

Kyle Sanders

I'm starting to think this mysterious engine works for MIB, he has a nerauliser & erases the guard's memory.

Ally1391 Strikes Back

I expected it honestly, Justin has been in the intros for a while, I was honestly thinking he would be Thomas’ replacement but Joey was basically that, so basically we have lost two members and gained 3 new ones

Nice to see Justin back

Goodbye Wiff

Nice to see Whiff having a new least on life as a persevered engine rather than having a final firing. Hope he lives out the rest of his days in the Blue Bell railway.

I guess the engine Patrick mentionned at the end is the mysterious banker. Since the banker always want to help out and Patrick said so the exact thing about the old bloke

DeterminedGuy

Yeah! I thought that was just something in the shorts.

Finally an episode where a character gets written out without dying.

I'm quite surprised with this episode. This was very wholesome. Another decent episode. I like that this took place at the start of the year of 1969 in the winter. It's been a bit since we've last seen an episode in that season, I think that added to this episode and why I found it wholesome. I don't have much to say visual wise but dialogue wise is pretty nice, I enjoyed the character interactions here. Justin and Mavis' interaction with each other was a nice callback to the season 2 episode, Affection. When the narrator (Edward) mentioned that some relationships can be a passing fancy and that showed Justin and Mavis, I'm really happy that we’ve seen this in place. What I’m also happy about is the reveal that Mavis is a lesbian. That was a lovely surprise and I liked how you’ve handled it. I do hope that Justin and Mavis will find their own love at some point. So Ffarquhar is getting an upgrade to its main yard and they’re getting a new large engine shed. That explains why in the trailer Ffarquhar has a roundhouse in that. I’m not sure how to feel about that. On one hand, I find it interesting that we see Ffarquhar with a different look, I don’t think anyone has done that before so at least it’s unique. On the other hand, it’s pretty weird. Personally, I think the roundhouse doesn’t fit Ffarquhar’ aesthetic at all and makes it too similar to Tidmouth Sheds. Maybe if instead it had the same shed layout as from the RWS story, Edward's Day Out, I think it would fit Ffarquhar a whole lot better in my opinion and wouldn’t make it similar to Tidmouth. Back to the story, which is my favourite part of the whole episode. We see Whiff having his troubles and Patrick’s words eventually helping give Whiff a wake up call to slow down. Nice to see more about the mysterious banker. That gives us another clue that this banker can go on branchlines. I do also like that whenever the guards look at the banker, they then don’t remember what it looks like, which adds to the supernatural vibe of this season. It does give me a theory that a friend said to me that maybe the banker could be supernatural themselves, maybe a type of shapeshifter but we’ll still have to wait and see. I also like the tension of Whiff delaying his repairs and with it being kept secret, it helped with why everyone was concerned about him. Joey using his old detective work was really smart and determined that Whiff would be retiring… which is exactly what happened. I love the ending from Whiff speaking to Toby and Percy and revealing about the bidding war for him and that he will be going to the Bluebell Railway. And him speaking to Patrick and calling back to their earlier interaction where this time, Whiff waited for Toby to take the lot. It’s a very sweet and wholesome episode. I love it! Amazing work overall, Victor!

Justin's a nice addition to the branch. I haven't seen him since Nationalization. Nice to see he and Derek were friends. Were you expecting the Beeching mentions? I wasn't So the banker is a bigger fella, but can still go on branch lines, so it's either a big tank engine or a shapeshifter. (given the SCP's possibly canon and the supernatural lean this season's going, either's possible.) Nice to see Whiff didn't die. I don't know why retirement didn't occur to me until watching this, but it's nice to see Whiff enjoying the Bluebell. Maybe it could lead to a future episode showing Whiff's life on there with Stepney. ("Retirement" sounds like a good title) Nice to see Joey putting his old skills to use when needed. Lesbian Mavis, I wonder if this will lead to Wishes. Maybe Mavis has a crush on Daisy and wishes she could spend more time on the Ffarquhar Branch, leading to the breakdown seen in the trailer. Again, the right amount of montages, Victor's pacing has improved. Good episode.

Well bless my bell it will be a little strange not seeing Whiff but at least he's happy and happy to welcome Justin to the crew

Billy Jordan

It’s sad to see Whiff get written out of the series, but at least he found himself a new home

Mario sonic 64

"Bust my buffers. That may be the first time that line hasn't worked." Was kinda hoping there'd be a followup to that.

The Lone Egg Boss

Now im wondering what episode it will be when the Mystery Banker engine is revealed

Amazing episode and Whiff leaving is sad but sa la ve

Fortnite TacoTrooper

I feel so sad

Jonathan Johnson

Farewell Whiff. I'm happy for him.

Thomas Degroot

I figured Ffarquhar was going to be upgraded. Did not expect Justin of all characters to join but him having a history with Derek is a neat touch.

Koritsurin

I had a hunch about Whiff retiring. I was right about him retiring to a heritage railway. I was wrong about which one. On the plus side, it's nice to know that he was purchased by the Bluebell Railway which is where Stepney lives.

Mavis is a confirmed lesbian That was not on my bingo card
