PSA: Changes to Patreon & Cancellation of Tactics Café

Heya guys o/

End of last year, I had finished a prototype of Tactics Café's core gameplay loop, where you could play through a (limited) roguelike run with a set array of characters and get various items and weapons. This prototype made me realise some issues with the core design of TC that, I felt, made the game not as fun to play as I had hoped. I felt pretty demotivated about it and decided to take a break to develop Project Ilium, a much smaller game in scope and was able to get it out within a month and a half, unlike the insane amount of time I spent on TC.

After spending some time away from Tactics Café to develop Project Ilium and then having had surgery, it gave me time to think about TC and the current situation and direction of the patreon. I am cancelling Tactics Café. I believe that being stubborn and sticking on this route of developing TC would be a bad idea which wouldn't pay off in the long run. 

I am still wanting to develop games though, it has and always will be my main goal and dream. But after working on TC and Project Ilium, I've come to realise that I want to try something different. I want to start developing NSFW games instead. So, I will! Though I don't have any concrete plans for anything yet, and to be honest, I don't want to commit to a big project like Tactics Café again until I have already prototyped it and feel happy with committing. Thus, I will get back to working on smaller NSFW games and prototypes like Project Ilium and will be sharing them with you guys as I work on them! 

Also, I still have a story I had fully planned out for Tactics Café which I wish to still tell. I am thinking up an alternative way to tell it, potentially through a comic or light novel.

With this cancellation and newfound interest in NSFW games, I want to also take this moment to restructure the Patreon a bit. Which I will go into detail below:

• NSFW Comics will stay. I have been having fun working on them, and I think you guys have been enjoying them. So, there are no changes to how I will be handling them, other than potentially a rebranding with the future ones and expanding the roster of potential characters. The polls for them will remain for hte cappucino tier anyway.
• Design Polls will be replaced by a 2nd Monthly NSFW Poll on months where a NSFW Comic poll is not happening. With no clear main project anymore, design polls will no longer have a place nor a reason to exist. Thus I will be replacing it with a 2nd NSFW Poll. This poll will be only a 1-2 illustration set. Thus the Design poll for Amelia will be last one! 
• Commission Discount being removed. Just cause I do not plan to open up for commissions anymore, and thus I feel that there is no point in putting that there and I don't want people pledging for it just to never receive the benefit.
• Early Access to NSFW Games. This will be a while before it comes into action but when I do get working prototypes and start working on bigger releases too, patrons will get early access to the games as I develop them! 

I'm sorry to anyone that was looking forward to more Tactics Café content, and I hope you guys look forward to what I create next instead. I whole heartedly believe this new direction into NSFW games will provide with better content for you guys and it'll be something I'm more happy and less stressed to work on.
