Hello everyone, Keyko here with our monthly devlog. I might not be writing actual material but my brain never really left the premises and downtime equals brainstorming.

I officially started commissioning some bad ending CGs for N5. I got three so far, they came out pretty good Id say. Two are not as gorey but the imagery and context makes them powerful enough and then the third one is just oh my god get this out of my screen. So.... that’s good? Bad????

Some new characters are being added to my creation queue like Mark from Dylan's route. He seriously needs a sprite and maybe a CG buff like Liam N3 did. There's something about his introduction scene in Dylan's A side that it's lacking, but I will talk about that in detail during the Q&A cuz someone brought it up as well.

Then I want to design Daniel, Russell's adoptive father, and increase his presence across all routes. I avoided it mostly due to lack of assets. I want to show that big old bear. Russell also gets another character, a mysterious addition that doesn't have a name but you go "ah, makes sense" once you see it.

Another big old bear would be Ryan's uncle aka James' father. It's on my to do list for Ryan D6.

For Dylan there's yet another character that will be known on N5. I'm not gonna say more because his D4 isn't out yet. I want people to read that first. It's something that you'll immediately understand once you do.

Clyde already got his treats, just waiting for his D4 CG to be completed. The artist in charge of that experienced delays so we're also waiting.

For you Blake lovers— D5, N5 will have the librararian, a multiroute character, and then a Blake unique character that has been teased a lot through his story.

I cant say much for Liam. His story goes completely off the rails, especially with the ending so Im waiting for all the other routes to settle down so I can decide which direction I want his route to take, but I do have in mind at least one unique character for his route, technically Nia is already deeply tied to him and Patrice but she's multiroute.

Patrice, my boy, give this man a chance. I'm sure you'll love him. Anyway he's getting his unique character later later, D6 material. If you read his D4, you know where it goes, but Im avoiding naming said character.

I've been thinking about the current situation with A/B sides and what Im planning for them.

As some of you know I've been merging them. Most of them have successfully fused so D3, N3 have some variants but overall the story flows in the same direction.

... that is if we ignore Dylan. He is currently the biggest "Im special" of the situation with a whole set of choice just with Mark existing.

Ive decided to delay this for D6. I will have a few unique passing lines in D5 about Mark to prepare myself with.

Then we have Patrice, that goddamn knife. I thought what would be the best way to handle it, I didn’t want to make one side feel less than the other, but I think it's inevitable? Just look at the choice between Ryan A and B. Who wouldn't pick the "kissing" option? Im sure that, in everyone's eyes, there's already a "this side is better than the other" and instead of overworking myself into trying to even the score I should just let it go, have the ending differ instead.

So Im working into making both sides combine, make the story linear and have your choices affect the story when it matters the most aka someone is in danger/you are/a climax/final showdown with an antagonist/a character's ending

And, at some points, you'll have the opportunity to swap between A and B side when your LI asks you what you think on certain things.

It's not complicated. It might sound that way cuz Im being vague but you'll know what to do when it's in front of you.

Oh btw, I noticed the July devlog broke? Like, I remember teasing a new character there but no picture showed up so I edited it and reuploaded the sprite. In case you missed it--- you can check it out now.
