What To Expect For The Beta Release

So, the first episode is out for the world to see, and the response to it has been more negative than I thought. For good reason, too, so I'm going to spend the next two weeks tidying up the game.

Size

The major issue was the size of the game. Honestly, the dorm internet has been treating me good and I kinda forgot what it was like to download things with normal internet speeds was like so when I put everything in one folder and saw that it was almost 6GB I was like "That's a lot but I'm sure people won't mind it that much." That's not the case, and that's not a reasonable size for a text-based game; that's essentially just a demo. 

So right now I'm changing the formats from gif to webm. Instead of converting the gifs directly to webm, I'm converting the videos that were turned into just because the end product has more quality. It's a little bit more tidious, but it's nothing that's going to take longer than a day.

Avatars

I never wanted to use real porn in the first place. But I didn't have the skills to draw or the finances to hire an artist, so I had to improvise with what I got; using filters on images and videos to make them look like drawings.

Using random folk's images for the contestants didn't feel right from the start, and that's why I put that warning at the beginning, just in case one of the people came across this and did not want to be associated with it. 

But your critiques really put things in perspective for me. So after I'm done converting the gifs, I'm going to download Sims 4 and some realistic cc and create new avatars. I'll put the same filters on those too, so I'm hopeful that they are going to look just as good and fit the rest of the avatars. And if I'm correct, I'll tackle the banner too; making it look more like a promo picture for a TV show instead of what it is at the moment. This isn't going to take that long either; probably around 2-3 days.

UI, Story, Proofreading

And for the next two weeks, I'm gonna read all the comments I get on F95zone and here to see what the people like and don't like; make changes to the game according to those suggestions, and then test out all the possible roots and make sure that this release is much better than the last one.

I'm really passionate about this game and the idea of a porn competition show. I hope that a not-so-stellar first release doesn't turn people off and that they can give another shot to this project after I release the alpha version.
