Interlude postings

Not sure if you recall but I mentioned that I'd make interludes to cover some of the exploration stuff that happened in the timeskip years.
The question I have for you guys is the following;
How often do you want to see these explorations that is mostly Atticus and Emily travelling around the world away from the plot?
At present, I'm kind of thinking of using it as a way to also introduce new characters that I have already in mind (and also to give back story to already existing characters) without impacting the flow of the main story
So far the number of interludes plan are eight and are as follows;
Interlude 1: India
Interlude 2: Japan
Interlude 3: Uganda & Tanzania
Interlude 4: Brazil
Interlude 5: Chile & Mexico
Interlude 6: Native American Tribes & MACUSA
Interlude 7: Persia & Turkey
Interlude 8: Egypt

2022-10-19 13:35:13 +0000 UTCI just thought of this as I am rereading the story. Will there be an interlude where Atticus travels to Rho Ophiuchi to see the world that Morrigan found? "This region is 460 light years ago, Rho Ophiuchi. It is a star-forming region and in that region, there is a world that was remarkably like Erda Tyrene and did not need terraforming. We found it late during the war against our enemy but it was left untouched. The star is very similar to the star of this system. It is roughly 1.06 times the gravity of Erda and 54% oceans and 12% freshwater lakes. It is a mountainous world, some twice as tall as the tallest mountain on Erda. Average temperatures are 27 degrees Celsius. The planet orbits the Sun in 421 days whilst the night-day cycle is 26 hours. Atticus does mention that he will visit at a later date.

2022-10-19 00:37:32 +0000 UTCFair point re: linking the number of chapters I'm aiming for 25-40 at most. The interludes are meant to be like a introduction in part to different cultures as well. Ok thanks for the suggestions!

2022-10-09 20:32:28 +0000 UTCI think the interval posting of interludes should be based on how many chapters you foresee remaining in the story. Will this arc have 32 more chapters left to coincide with a 4:1 ratio for chapters and interludes or less? my initial thought on interlude postings was a 2:1, with 3:1 probably being more realistic and keeping the story moving along.
