The job was meant to be simple; she was supposed to be on loan to an American ally of her local yakuza organisation (to whom she was 'employed' by).
She was meant to be verifying and restoring some recently acquired classical paintings, but she never made it to her destination.
Currently uncertain of her own exact whereabouts, her kidnappers have tasked her with restoring a set of strange, unsettling paintings. They're completely under-equipped for the task and supplies are constantly low or lacking, making the chore take far longer than necessary. Aside from the occasional grocery drop and check in by the head of the gang, a tall woman who speaks Japanese well enough, Sayaka is often isolated, with only work, boredom and a guard on the other side of the door.
She has managed to convince one of the guards to keep her company from time to time, a tall, broad, quiet man with a rarely seen cruel smile and burn scars covering his arms and torso. They will often sit in silence as she works, share beer if there is no work, and when the mood strikes Sayaka, have intercourse. It's not the biggest secret and there is no affection between them, but it helps keep her focused - Sayaka feels unsettled and restless if she goes too long without sex. This was only a problem when her boyfriend dumped her for being too insatiable - but thankfully some of the yakuza underlings she had befriended were more than happy to oblige her appetite.
It has been several months at this point, and it is coming up on Christmas. Sayaka misses the aunt & uncle who raised her, and she is also worried about them. She had spent years building up trust and value to the yakuza her uncle owes money to... but now, what if they think she is trying to escape from that debt? What if her family thinks she has abandoned them?
She is incredibly homesick and alone.
