수많은 행성들의 죽음이 쌓여 생긴 '클리포트의 악마'

실체가 없는 행성의 부스러기나 죽음이 임박한 별의 생명력을 빨아먹는 미약한 존재.

그러나 우주에 있는 수 많은 별들 중 '불완전 별'이 있으면 얘기가 달라진다.

이 '불완전 별'은 자신의 에너지를 별을 태우는데 쓰지 못하고 별의 이면에 틈이 생겨 에너지가 흘러넘쳐 생명체가 태어나게 된 별이다.

이 틈에 클리포트의 악마가 들어가 심핵에 기생하면 별의 에너지를 빨아먹으며 자신의 육체를 부화시킬 알로 만든다.

또한 별의 기록에 간섭 할 수 있게 되면서 자신에게 방해가 되는 별의 생명체가 있다면 기록을 이용해 자신을 지키거나 지성체의 큰 혼란을 야기시킨다.

별의 에너지를 모두 먹어치워 육체를 구성한 클리포트의 악마는 별을 부수고 태어나 우주를 돌아다니며 죽음의 섭리를 망가뜨리는 존재로 군림한다. “

이것은 수많은 지적 생명체가 태어나고, 사라지는 순환(서클)이 반복되는 한 불완전한 별에서 일어나는 이야기.

생명을 이루는 에너지인 '아트마' 가 넘치는 세계.

원인 불명의 병과 재앙이 일어나는 등 일부 관리를 받는 도시를 제외하면 불안정한 삶이 이어지고 있다.

그 사이에서 적색원이라는 종교가 그들의 마음에 파고든다.

그러나 스스로는 움직일 수 없는 상황에 처해있는 '검은뱀' 에시드는 다른 방법을 모색하게 된다.

'아담'이 만들어 냈던 과거의 영웅을 깨워 세계를 구하게 만들기로한 것이다.

'알터'는 300년 전 멸망한 '신성 카멜롯'의 기사왕이었다.

현 시대와 비교했을 때 거칠더라도 평화롭고 활기가 넘치던 나라를 통치하던 그는 누구보다도 올곧고 바른 인물이다.

그는 반란으로 인해 죽음에 처하기 직전 '검은 뱀' 에시드에 의해 목숨을 건지고

대신 '검은 뱀' 에시드의 의사에 따라 300년 간 기나긴 잠에 빠지게 된다.

그리고 현재, '알터'는 깨어난다.

이야기의 주 배경이 되는 곳.

현재는 폐허가 된 [신성 카멜롯]과 현재 인간들의 주요 생활영역인 [교회 도시]가 있다.

'알터' 의 출생지.

먼 오래전에 있던 고대의 카멜롯의 정신을 계승한 나라.

신정 정치 체제로 왕과 신을 받드는 제사장이 있었다.

현재는 내란으로 추정되는 사건으로 멸망했다.

알터는 이 내란에서의 전투에서 큰 부상을 입고 ‘검은 뱀’에게 구조되었다.

교리: 고통과 시련을 통한 기적

시련의 시작은 성지라 불리는 특정 장소에 가서 순례를 하고 돌아오는 것으로 시작된다.

성지에는 순례자들을 위한 작은 제단이 있다.

순례를 하고 돌아오면 몸에 변화가 시작되는데 그 변화를 몸이 받아들이고

자신의 영혼(자아)를 유지하면 시련을 이겨냈다고 여겨진다.

적색원 교단의 교리를 믿는 종교의 도시.

교황중심으로 이루어진 중앙통치 체제이다.

교회는 총 10개이며 대성당이자 중앙지부, 교황이 직접 통치하는 지역과 그 주위 9개의 지부가 있다.

저승,요정의 세계)

인계와 별의 심핵 사이에 있는 계.

'호수' 가 있는 곳이며 에스카 톨로지의 고향인 곳이다.

죽은자들의 세계이자 환상종의 고향.

바깥의 세계의 존재가 잊혀진 수평선으로 가는 방법이 있긴 하지만

보통 바깥의 육신은 죽고 바깥으로 돌아가지 못한다.

바깥이 혼란스러워지고 ‘별의 파수꾼’이라는 존재들이 나타남으로서 요정같은 환상의 존재들은 서서히 요정의 세계로 돌아갔다.

エネルギーが溢れ出した結果、生命体が生まれた星のことである。

この隙間にクリフォートの悪魔が入り込み核に寄生すると、星のエネルギーを吸い取りながら、

自分の肉体を孵化させる卵にさせる。

また、星の記録に干渉することができるようになり、もし障害になりうる星の生命体が存在すると、

記録を用いて自衛したり、知生体に大きな困難を引き起こす

これは、数多くの知的生命体が生まれは消える、循環(サークル)を繰り返す

一つの不完全な星から起きた物語。

生命を成すエネルギーである「アートマ」で満ち溢れる世界。

その中、レッドサークルという宗教が彼らの心に入り込む。

「アダム」が創り出した過去の英雄を呼び起こし、世界を救うようにしたのだ。

現代と比べ荒くても平和で、活気に溢れていた国を治めた彼は、誰よりも心正しい人物だ。

彼は反乱により死を迎える寸前、「黒き蛇」エッシードにより命を助けられ、

代わりに「黒き蛇」エッシードの意思に従って300年の長い眠りに落ちる。

そして今、「アルター」は目覚める。

物語の主な舞台になる場所。

現在は廃墟と化した「神聖キャメロット」と、現在人間たちの生活区画である「教会都市」がある。

神聖キャメロット

「アルター」の出生地。

はるか昔に存在した、古代キャメロットの魂を引き継ぐ国。

神権政治政体であり、王と神を崇めるシャーマンが存在した。

現在はおそらく内乱と思われる事件により滅んでいる。

アルターはこの内乱による戦闘で大きな傷を負い、「黒き蛇」に救われた。

「湖」がある場所であり、エスカトロジーの故郷でもある。
