Rye is still two weeks away: an apology

Hi.  We're putting this monthly progress post out a little early, because it contains things you'll want to know. Read on, friend! 

1. Rye is delayed. Sorry about that. 

So! We have a long and pretty-standard list of shit that went wrong; 

-health problems

-surprise bugs 

-our animator disappeared

-our backup animator disappeared 

-our programmer disappeared

-our backup programmer has been working on RenPy

but the fact of the matter is, we said Rye Part One would probably be out this month, and here we are, not getting sodomized by Our Lady Rye. 

So: 

2. If you pledged at the Desk Boy level this month, Rye will be free for you next month. 

It's...strange. This started as a funny gig with a bunch of dudes in a garage, where we said "lol what if we *actually* made the game about mind control semen, tho??" And then, somewhere along the way, we got...incredibly popular.  

(Thank you. Thank you for coming with us on this journey to create a real, dedicated, futanari game.) 

But now that we're popular, we...need to be more professional. It takes us just so fucking long to release each new update, and now that we're making actual Big Boy money, this casual hobby needs to become more of a priority. 

Let's deliver more, and charge less. 

Here's the plan: 

3. Revamping the backer tiers: early-access is now $7, instead of $20.

Given how many delays we've had, I no longer feel good about charging so much to play the alpha build of the game. We're making an early access tier at $7.   

This will probably mean that we're about to take a >50% income hit.

4. We expect RP1 in October, and it's free for you. 

So. In conclusion, Rye Part One is free, we're sorry about the delay, and we're going to charge less. 

(Also, once the RenPy port is finished, I expect we'll be able to release everything much faster, since we no longer have to rely on outside contractors as much. )
