How do you use my maps?
Added 2019-09-19 06:06:54 +0000 UTCI know a lot of my patrons are GMs who use their maps in games, or some might be writers who use the maps as settings for their stories.
I'm very much interested in knowing more about how you've used my maps in your personal works. Please let me know how you've been using my work in your personal projects!

Yes there are two moons : - Siella the Ivory moon, the larger & more distant of Elyden’s two moons. It has a non-synchronous orbit of 47 days. Being distant, it takes a long time to cross the heavens, and while the Blood Moon orbits the sky in under a day, it takes Siella between two and three days to complete a revolution of Elyden. In Mythology, Siella was once Teroth, daughter of the Demiurge Neith, who was killed by the Demiurge Kharani but was later reborn as Siella. - Arakhame', the Blood Moon, smaller of Elyden's two moons, with a synchronous orbit of 21 days. It is commonly associated with the Demiurge Kharani and his Scion Khar'illae, who has a much more bloody-handed aspect. I don't believe I've ever given a list showing all the Demiurges in one place. I was hoping to tease them as I got commissioned art, though given the rate at which I can afford them I may be a while before I get all 22 of them done so I'll go ahead and post something ovver the coming days - keep an eye out! And if there's ever anything you want to know about the world, no matter how trivial, just go ahead and ask me!

2019-09-24 17:17:55 +0000 UTCThere are just two things I can think of off the top of my head. 1) is there a moon(s) that orbit Elyden and 2) (unless you already have this made and I haven't seen it) a list of all the dimurges. Other than these two things your world is amazing and incredibly detailed. Best campaign setting ever

2019-09-24 15:25:17 +0000 UTCwow that's very flattering - is there anything you feel needs more fleshing out? I'm not sure if you've seen it, but I'm working on a site and am adding as much lore to it as possible - www.worldofelyden.com

2019-09-23 14:41:42 +0000 UTCVery nice, thanks! Do you keep the place names or use any of my history as well, of is it just the maps you use?

2019-09-23 14:40:55 +0000 UTCI use them for Dungeons and Dragons. The level of detail in your world is among the best I have ever seen. Each town feels alive and real while the terrain has an air of reality to it. The demiurges also make the world feel alive and always changing and give my players something to discover/thwart.

2019-09-19 20:49:53 +0000 UTCI use your work as an inspiration for my own maps. Even though our styles differ a lot there are lots of similarities, and I want to learn from masters in the field. Both you and Thorfinn Tait are very high on my list of super skilled cartographers specializing in world maps, so I support you both on Patreon! I'm especially interested in your QGIS work and your use of projection, which I'm getting into more and more.

2019-09-19 13:13:50 +0000 UTCIntially, I was just interested in your style of maps for my own maps. I've since given up on that but your world is so in-depth, I've been super inspired by how you use your maps and your worldbuilding.

2019-09-19 12:06:17 +0000 UTCI try to think of how the terrain would impact land war so I hope things look good to your eye - I like to position forts overlooking bottlenecks and entrances into harbours or other important cities or features.

2019-09-19 10:33:18 +0000 UTCI use them as research. As a historical cartographer I enjoy your approach to terrain height, as a games publisher I hope one day to hire you.

2019-09-19 09:57:16 +0000 UTCMainly inspiration. I like to look at the conlanging, terrain features, and the worldbuilding for thoughts ideas. Sometimes I learn some new real world inspiration that I never knew about before your writing. I also have to say I enjoy the world itself so I enjoy mulling over all the details. I also like to fancy myself as an amateur military historian so I like to look at your maps and think about strategic routes, defensible terrain, etc. I am also trying to get better at photoshop for my own maps and world so looking through the Photoshop files of Pelagos and Korachan you sent have helped me get an idea on how to organize layers and management of an in-depth map. So long story short, I use them for a lot XD
