Texas and Vegas travels

Hey everyone! 

I'm sorry I've been out of touch, this has been a hectic week!

I left last Weds for Austin. I had a HUGE amount of cancellations and issues-partially due to the hurricane that hit Houston (one of my big gigs was with someone from Houston). It ended up being slower than I would like for work, but I did get to relax a little bit. I still feel like I'm incredibly behind on work (story of my life).

I flew to Vegas on Saturday night to meet my mom, aunt, and cousin Jayme. Jayme and I actually live only a few miles apart, so we see each other frequently. Our mothers live on the east coast however, so it was nice to catch up. If you all don't know me by now, I have a totally warped sense of humor, and collect sideshow memorabilia and kitsch sex art.. I get this from my mom. She is definitely my weirdo side, lol.  To make a long story short, mom told us she was buying tickets for all of us to go to a show in Vegas.  I was assuming it was a Cirque show, so when my mom's big reveal for what show we were actually going to.. I probably shouldn't have been so surprised. Puppetry of the Penis. It was literally 2 dudes who made puppets with their junk at the Erotic Heritage Museum. I could tell my cousin Jayme was pretty disturbed, but I was amused for about 10 minutes (and then ready to go). I do wonder what sort of preparation goes into this though. Do they have to stretch out their ball skin or foreskin, do they use pumps to make everything longer when flaccid? It is SO bizarre. How does someone decide they have the talent to make a living doing this? And people thought my job was weird, haha!

So I got home late last night, and this afternoon Lillias flew in. We are having so much fun, and went shopping, had dinner and hit a burlesque show this evening. Must I say, no rest for the wicked?
