THIS WEEK ON OUR PATREON...
Added 2022-07-25 08:57:47 +0000 UTCHello, gang.
Plans for this week… we’ve got some outtakes on the way for the upper tiers, which are imminent once they’re uploaded, then hopefully the usual Digi and BYAMPOD.
Seems all I do at the minute is tell you depressing stuff, but everything is going to have to be somewhat pencilled in, as my dad’s in hospital with Covid complications. He’s in a very bad way, and it feels that things could go one way or another.
I’m a bit pissed off with him, because he – like a lot of his generation, I think – has been very blasé about Covid from the start, despite our best efforts. It’s a miracle it has taken him this long to get it, in all honesty. Amazingly, my mother – touch wood – seems to have gotten over her bout. She’s in even worse health than him, so we've no idea how she dodged a bullet.
There’s not much we can do actively, so it’s business as usual as much as possible. Our time will nevertheless be a bit more squeezed as we’ll also be helping to look after my mum, who’s on her own and pretty much blind. We do want to keep busy – it helps – but it might just mean that everything, from Digi to BYAMPOD to the various art or editing commissions some of you are waiting on, might take a little longer than planned.
In happier news, we had a lovely weekend away at my daughter’s wedding. We’re knackered, as we it was all hands on deck to get the hall ready, and then take it all down yesterday, but it all went smoothly, and she had the best weekend.
Thank you, as ever, for supporting us, everyone. Sorry life keeps getting in the way.
Paul

Very sorry to hear about your dad, here's hoping can beat the odds. I had covid just over a couple of weeks ago and it took me two weeks to get over it completely. Knocked me out for a week. I think a lot of people are in for a rude awakening in winter when it's running rampant, it's most certainly not gone away and it's going to be very disruptive. Obviously I'll echo anyone else reading this and say take as long as you need for videos etc. There are more important things.

2022-07-27 15:29:21 +0000 UTCEchoing what everyone else has said about both taking the time you need, and also hoping your dad recovers/does well. It's a bit surreal that we've been through the past two years and apparently the way out of COVID is pretending it doesn't exist, rather than keeping people aware that it is still a significant risk and putting sensible public health measures in place to mitigate and measure the risks and communicating them to people. People seemed to claim to care a lot more about the mental health impacts of lockdowns than they do about those caused by unmitigated COVID spread without even the simplest of measures being put in place.

2022-07-26 19:23:38 +0000 UTCSo sorry to hear about your dad. Wishing you all the best and I hope he is on the mend soon. Glad to hear that your daughters wedding went well. You all deserved a lovely day with all of the madness you've been dealing with lately. As always, don't worry about rescheduling stuff for Digi. Family comes first!
