Honestly reminded me a little bit of Olivia's album in the way that she has big bops and then great piano ballads. But instead of rock bops it's party club bops. I had so much fun jamming out with y'all so I hope y'all watching back enjoy as well :)

He just had multiple songs from that album surpassing a billion streams making him number 1 in the world with the fastest billion streams, replacing his own record. I hope you're doing the whole album soon, he even did a live show at new york time square, that was hella fun too! My personal favourite is Standing next to you, and I think you'll like the whole album, it's in English!

Her vocals on Hot to Go are very Sparks (a power pop new wave band) & Devo (whip it, et al). Personally, I love that moment, but I'm also a huge Sparks fan lol. You could truly take that vocal & drop it into their song Angst in My Pants & it would fit. 💕 It's nice to my ears 🎧🪩🎹

You either love it or you hate it! lol Thanks for giving them a listen anyways! If you haven’t listened to it you might enjoy their song God Is Really Real, it’s about their dad. It’s more stripped back, much less of the overproduced vibe. Might not have much replay value for you unless you’ve been in a similar situation but I feel like it’s shows another side to their songwriting/producing. Not trying to make you a fan but I don’t want Yes I’m A Mess to be the only view you have for the album😂

Still with that context I have a hard time finding any redeeming qualities from the song other than just a sad overproduced sea shanty tune. I feel for them in real life but so far the music I’ve heard from them has been pretty rough.

They were going through a lot of really hard stuff while making this album, one of the major ones being their dad being sick (and he ended up dying during the rollout for this album) so this album is going to be more depressing. They said it was the hardest album to work on because of everything they were going through while they were writing this album. And also their music is full of satire that I feel like if you don’t know their music it’ll go over your head, and I think that was the case with this song. You can’t take it too literally. But if you just genuinely don’t like the style of music they make that’s fine, it’s not for everyone. I was just concerned with Troy’s take on the lyrics and wanted to provide some context.
