EXCLUSIVE: YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED!

Hello gang. Let's face it... we're not going to get a video out for everyone this week. Just too much happening with Digi Live (and the Digi The Show Series 2 preparations). BUT! We do have this Q&A just for you lot. So, that's good. That's something.

I'm tempted to give the top tier Patrons some sort of Digi Live sneak peek... but at the same time, I don't want to spoil any of the surprises. So maybe I won't. I dunno. But I'll get some of the stuff up for them afterwards for definite.

Anyhow! Thanks for sticking with us for another month. Sorry we've been a tad AWOL the past couple of weeks, but all will be back to normal soon.

LOVE YOU.

I’ve been a huge fan of Surprise, Surprise since hearing it on a prog collection called Journey to the Edge that I bought on tape circa 1993.

That was Golf Girl, mate. Her name was Pat.

I hope you manage to find some durian to try. I've seen fresh ones for sale in Chinatown in London. Not too expensive either. Sometimes, Asian supermarkets will have them, or have frozen durian slices. I've also had durian wraps from an Asian restaurant in Birmingham. A friend of mine is from Malaysia, and whenever he comes back from a stay there, he brings all sorts of interesting foods, many of which often contain durian. We opened some durian filled chocolates in the pub a couple of years ago. We were happily chatting and eating when we suddenly became aware of some panicked chatter from the bar staff. Several people raced past us into the pub kitchen saying there was a gas leak. Turns out it was just the smell of our durian chocolates! My friend hasn't been able to travel home over the past couple of years due to the Covid situation, but if he visits soon, I might ask him to bring back some Cornershop Corner fodder.

I’m sorry you got a negative albeit rather stupid comment about your toy videos. I came here to say how much I enjoy them. They’re informative, laid back, fun and I find myself going back and rewatching them every now and again. It is so hard to let these sorts of comments slip by without getting even a little affected by them. I used to do a bit of streaming, and entire nice day of positive interactions could get toppled by one person saying “this is dumb and you’re stupid”. So I hope my positive comment offers a little balance, and I really hope you consider doing more. Also, I would love a podcast style retelling of your adventures in Chernobyl. I’ve been looking forward to this story, and if an audio version would make it easier for you I would be all for it!

Please don’t be put off the toy videos; they’re some of my favourites! You add massive value to the wiki-able facts so please ignore knobheads who don’t see that.

Yes, the later Found Footage is really quite something. Puts me in mind of Bluejam.

Cheers for the discussion as always, great to see you pair just bouncing off each other. Noel's brother Michael (Naboo the Enigma), used to work in the same building as me. Such an awesome guy. He recognised a fellow natural comedy weirdo, so we used to talk bollocks a lot. He had a weird dream where me and him were rescuing kids from a collapsed mine, with these Japanese emergency workers Beastie Boys like outfits on with cool rucksacks full of tools. He's a hilarious bloke. Miss him.

Thanks for such an interesting answer. It felt kind of sad too, though, that the low views have put you off returning to such a fertile place when the material was so strong. Those last episodes of Lost Footage bordered on the profound - they were actually genuinely moving, whilst also being laugh out loud funny. That’s no mean feat. As you rightly spotted, the question was a fancy way of asking what you’d do with FF given creative backing and a big budget. I still hope we get to find out one day. Feels like there’s unfinished business. Oh yeah, and - Python and The Young Ones? They were my early comedy epiphany moments too, so I must have almost been destined to love Digi!

Chris Bell

Oh wait, I got 27 minutes in and Chris Morris came up. Spooky.

Reel Big Eddy

It's always cool hearing about your influences, and explains why I love your stuff so much. Suprised Chris Morris wasn't mentioned though, the found footage stuff especially reminds me of Jam at times.

Reel Big Eddy

Fully on Sanja's side here, do not open surströmming in your house!

Daniel Watson

Considering how much work the live show no doubt involves, anything else at the moment is a bonus. I expect you to have some recovery time next week too.

David Mallett

You've got so much on your plate guys so no need for apologies. I was never able to get the chance to see with my impending nuptials. I'd rather wait to potential see a video of the event (not yet seen the video from Digi live 1 I had access to) rather than spoilers before hand.
