HELLO, WELCOME, AND THANK YOU

Hello, gang. Just wanted to give a proper greeting to the new Patrons who've joined in the last week or so. Not sure what we've done to warrant that, but we've not had an influx like this since we first set this thing up.

So, firstly, welcome. Secondly... thank you. There have been times in recent years - last year especially - where Patreon was a life-saver, and let me be a little less stressed, so that I could keep putting out videos and whatnot. 

I used to be incredibly self-conscious about asking people to help out, but as the years have worn on, I've come to realise that many of you actually enjoy contributing, and supporting what I do. It means the world to me, and I love having the Patreon for videos and blog posts that I simply wouldn't put out elsewhere. 

What's especially lovely is that we're kind of doing better on Patreon than many much bigger channels (who doubtless, and unlike us, get plenty from AdSense). So, while we may be an acquired taste, and our audience is still in the process of - ahem - readjusting(!), we're obviously doing something right. Digi, as always, is a bit Marmite, but those who love it really love it.

I'm now out the side of my day job commitments for the first time in over a year, and enjoying not waking up to deadlines. I'm not hurrying to find new work right away; I want to take a bit of time to enjoy doing Digi and the BYAMPOD, and - again - having so many of you on here let's Sanja and I breathe a little more easily. 

This week's video will likely be a little different. Sanja's still recovering from her operation, so I'm going to fly solo, sort of, for the first time. I've also got a chunk of videos to share with both tiers, which we recorded before she went under the knife.

FORTHCOMING ATTRACTIONS!

Now that life is starting to open up again, we've been planning future videos. Gannon and Eli are both coming back soon - and Gannon is likely to become an on-and-off presence, albeit now sharing that co-host role with Sanja, once again.

I've also spoken to some guest stars for the next couple of Digitiser Supernatural World eps. I shan't reveal more now, but they'll be joining us to look for big cats, and UFOs. Gannon and I also want to do a theme park episode. And Sanja is desperate to do a video on randonauting.

I'm also eager to do more Digitiser Deluxe, which will likely include the Beanus game show idea I had a while back. It'll be a bit different to last time, I suspect. 

FOUND FOOTAGE

So... I mentioned a second series of Found Footage last week. I'll be honest, the reaction to the FF Vth Anniversary images I've been sharing have been tepid at best! We're still going to be celebrating the anniversary at Digi Live, but a full second series... is something we'll have to consider properly, before we launch anything. We'll keep testing the water, but the jury's out.

One idea we did have last week, was to do something that we're provisionally calling Mr Biffo's Digiverse, which would be more character-based. It'd allow me to bring back some of the characters from Found Footage, classic Digi characters, and the new Digi characters, like Beanus, Third Bird, Tony Harris et al. But with a bit of a budget, so we can go to town with it. 

Or maybe people just don't want that, and are happy with the regular eps! One way or another, I get restless not doing something that challenges me creatively, so I'll find a way somehow.
