So i have a recommendation, why not do a reaction video for each song on albums and , upload it every other day, then make a review video for the whole album, so you would have time to sit with the album and appreciate the music on your own pace! Also editing 10 min videos is easier than an 1 hour long vid. So you’re not alone lol. Would say now I’m less averse to all the parts I hated, but still haven’t managed to get fully on board since 2017 [despite my best efforts for “same mistakes, every time; bridges burn, I never learn”]

This might be a long shot but i REALLY think you'd love speak now, it's got the lyrical and emotional depth of folklore/evermore but with more instrumentation and bigger production, it would be rly cool to see your reaction to the original album before taylor's version comes out and maybe a little comparison of the production changes, but i dont want to sound demanding haha its just my favorite album. either way loved your reaction here, you always manage to point out something in each song that i didnt notice even after listening 500 times! keep slaying :P

This is a beautiful album with chaotic, farcical interludes (LWYMMD, Nice Things). It's not the best album. It is one of my favorites by her. Tbh, I'd be interested but nervous to see a 1989 reaction. It was my fave album up til Midnights. It was the first vinyl and CD I got by Taylor. That was my era. Freshman year of college. Taylor's a lot of nostalgia. It's hard to just latch onto certain works sometimes especially in first, live sittings. The lyrics, production, the lore, your own feelings...bro it's a commitment to get into a new Taylor album.

The fact that she went through all the shit show that was 2016 and came back with this album, made snakes as her brand and sold millions in the first week then went on harder with her stadium tour, which media called it a flop tour but ended up being the highest grossing tour in the US. She never had a flop era for real! This album and the whole reputation era will forever have a special place in my heart because Taylor saved me from depression I was having that same year she released it. The whole album is such a journey for me because in the beginning the songs are loud and angry and defensive. I can't wait for you to watch the reputation stadium tour on Netflix. I can truly say after watching that and Miss Americana, a new life was given to this album for me. It is now one of my favorites up there with folklore and 1989. I feel the creation of this album was very therapeutic for her. Yes, the album has petty, sassy tracks as a response to events that happened, but it also has many tracks representing the good and love she found during this time and of her being able to let go of all that had happened. And even the iffy tracks usually have a bridge or pre chorus that i love to listen to

She was telling her fans she had a plan (bye bye BM) and not to give up on her. She loves hearing her fans sing at her shows and those are the voices she doesn’t want to lose. It’s a giant metaphor. Telling us Taylor isn’t really dead, she just had to do what she needed to do to get out of a bad situation (we had no idea of the masters situation at that time) and she’s telling us she’s not going anywhere. And in the meantime to let the memories hold onto us. But also Taylor, because she knew Rep was a swift departure from her normal style, but she wasn’t going anywhere 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

2023-02-24 15:08:03 +0000 UTCI love reputation with every piece of my soul, so I will admit it hurts seeing you not love some of my favorite Taylor songs of all time (i did something bad, call it what you want, and king of my heart), however this album is very much a 2017 album, and I can see how a lot of the music can feel dated or weird listening back to it 5 years later. also, I think there was something special about listening to this album as soon as it came out with everything happening at the time, that can’t be replicated, even if you do understand all the lore surrounding the album. BUT, I’m really glad you found songs you really enjoy from it! It isn’t everyone’s taste, but there are definitely some of Taylor’s best songs ever hidden in the album! I’m excited to watch you watch the tour (I think a lot of the songs will grow on you with a live performance), and… eventually watch you listen to fearless, speak now, and 1989! Thanks for all your work with reacting and editing these videos! This edit was really enjoyable and hilarious!

I also really appreciate the real critiques that you give post 1st listen, cause some of the songs on that album were not it (hot take from the veteran swiftie ok) and that realization sometimes comes through after the fact. I loved the video and appreciate all of the work you put into your content. PS I can't get over how 2017 this album is, it was definitely….a wild time for music to say the least
