Upcoming Q&A
Added 2025-09-04 02:04:52 +0000 UTCIt's time for another Q&A, so ask your questions (in the comments on this post). We'll pick some to answer in the video, and try to answer the remainder in text.
We'll be accepting Q&A submissions until Wednesday, Sep 10.
And while we're here, check this out- we managed to get a LR-300 pistol grip with the correct angle (courtesy of Collector Design Werks, who does some awesome custom gun projects), and also I snagged a real-steel aluminum-body C-More off eBay. Really rounds out the build, I think.

As you've probably noticed, part of the problem is that what's available in Europe and what's available to us in the US can be very different. With the metric CAT, for example, Timebomb set the dimensions purely based on nominal values. We had to ask for Europeans to give it a try and tell us if it worked, because we couldn't actually get the metric pipe sizing to try it ourselves. But we do recognize that our audience is global and we appreciate you guys, so we'll do what we can in the future.

2025-10-04 12:55:48 +0000 UTCIf you buy a bottle of propane, or get a CO2 tank filled, it's never done to full capacity. Pressure vessels are normally filled to about 70% liquid, 30% gas. This gas both ensures that you don't accidentally siphon liquid when you draw from the tank in normal operation, and provides some compressible headspace to account for temperature changes. The same considerations apply to airsoft- filling a mag 100% with liquid guarantees that when you pull the trigger, you'll blow a plume of liquid propellant through the gun, causing instant cooldown and a variety of potential mechanical problems. So 'full' doesn't actually mean completely filled with liquid; it means filled to whatever percentage of liquid the mag can hold without siphoning liquid when you go to shoot.

2025-10-04 12:50:27 +0000 UTCNothing is planned for the PP-2000 in the near future, but there are some other Russian replicas on the way we'd like to cover.

2025-10-04 12:46:00 +0000 UTCIt's an interesting idea, but we don't think it would work as a debounce mechanism, given that most real-steel designs with locking bolts do still need some kind of debounce.

2025-10-04 12:45:21 +0000 UTCOur guiding principles are that we want to make content that (1) people find useful, (2) addresses relevant gaps in the public knowledge base, and (3) is informed by our experience and backgrounds. So to put it bluntly, we'll make whatever people want to see that hasn't already been adequately covered by other channels and which we have enough direct experience to feel confident making definitive statements. For now, expect to see some more 3D printable designs (we have a project in the works that aims to do for heavy machine guns what the CAT did for 40mm launchers), but we're always open to suggestions. Just let us know what you want to see.

2025-10-04 12:43:04 +0000 UTCare you going to do other kinds of content don't get me wrong reviews, build videos and general airsoft advice is great but I'm curious is there other types you would like to do?

2025-10-04 11:13:49 +0000 UTCWould it be possible to design a locking bolt (rotating/tilting) in order to improve consistency and remove bolt bounce?

2025-09-09 15:16:48 +0000 UTCWill you check out the Modify pp-2000/ots-126 systems? It's my go to gbb setup until I finally get my hands on a vfc ak.

2025-09-09 13:21:53 +0000 UTCSorry for the dumb question but, how does overfilling happen? Doesn't it should have a physical limit to how much gas a mag can hold?

2025-09-08 02:39:04 +0000 UTCIs it possible for you to bring more examples for spare parts, real steel parts etc. to the European market? I believe you have many european viewers and most of your links to parts and so forth are for CONUS.

2025-09-06 23:16:30 +0000 UTCIn which aspect of airsoft would you like to see innovation/development? My main gripe would be the way BB stabilization is achieved. The system is very finicky in general, and I hate dealing with anything hop-up related. On another note, Catgut, given that you have traveled all over the world, have you played airsoft in other countries? How was the experience?

2025-09-06 10:15:33 +0000 UTCWe hate to say it, but there isn't much to share- the info we could find wound up in the LR-300 build video. It seems it was just a commercial project that ultimately didn't see any success or adoption.

2025-09-05 18:49:35 +0000 UTCYour custom build projects, usually have a really well done and concise history of the weapons you are building, I'd love to see a similar breakdown for the LR build.

2025-09-05 18:37:13 +0000 UTCWhen will there be Airsoft Cheater caught videos? What about US Navy Seal vs Rental videos?

2025-09-05 10:24:20 +0000 UTCYou had mentioned in one of the last Q&A's that you were in the process of converting the Colt LMG to the VFC system. Has there been any update?

2025-09-04 17:35:49 +0000 UTCIn airsoft context, what’s your take on using magnified optics (such as LPVO/magnifier)? Do you think they justify the extra weight and cost? If you had to pick between the two, which would you go for, and at what magnification level?
