New Feature - Nine Slicing!

In continued efforts by YoYo to render my old tutorial work entirely obsolete you can now automatically create nine slices in version 2.3.2 without any scripting whatsoever!

In version 2.3.2 (currently in beta, due for imminent release) you can define nine slices on a sprite by sprite basis and even set the repeat/stretch settings for each individual edge!

You can also rotate them and all sorts. Watch the video. It's cool.

(There's a special credits sequence at the end of this video, keep an eye out.)

I copied my Ludum Dare game "FIREBALL" and stripped out the player controls replacing them with mostly random behaviour, then i had it read a text file full of patron names and make a "player" for each one. The game would already spawn the players in sequence the way it does in the video so I just had to do some tweaking to make it not spawn too many at once (it would just lag everything out). Then I just sort of ran it. I changed the background to a bright pink too so when I recorded it I could easily edit out the background to make it transparent for the video. That's.. basically it.

That ending was hilarious...please explain how you did that. Nah, not full tutorial, just wanna know broadly how it was done. Good job Gary.

Man this is fantastic! Going to have so much fun with this. Thanks Shaun
