Biweekly Build #44

Wow!

This update was a big undertaking, but I'm glad I managed to get it done in time to release it all today!

In case you didn't know, this update adds the first of six dungeons to the game, similar to the ones from games like Link's Awakening. I've always wanted to design a dungeon like that, and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to do so here. Another fun thing that got added is the first player-as-spankee scene in the game which you will encounter in your search for the dungeon key. I'm excited to hear your opinions on it because I want to make those scenes really good since they're rarer than player-as-spanker scenes.

Additionally, the music that plays inside the dungeon is actually the first track of an original musical score I'm planning to compose for this game, so let me know what you think (even if you hate it)!

Maybe I'm just really dumb but I can't seem to find that first key to the dungeon?

Once again, you knocked it out of the park. The puzzles are challenging, but logical, where observation leads to the solution. It feels like a classic Zelda dungeon, and is great. The only little downside I can think of is that on some of the screens, it looked like you could walk to the side to a new room, but there was a wall, there. This is purely my experience with Zelda causing the brief confusion, but maybe a different tileset on those impassable walls would help designate that the player can't go that way?

Hey all! A small oversight in testing has led to the earth dungeon being mathematically unsolvable if a certain progression through it is taken! The 0.4.1 build is free of that bug!

I will see what I can do as far as making it more interactive. Was there something specific you were thinking about as far as that interaction goes? Like say I were to add actions and dialogue, what would you imagine them to be?

The music and dungeon were phenomenal, hands down the best puzzles out of any of the rpgmaker games I've played. As for the player as spankee scene if they are more rare maybe you might want to try making them more interactive with dialogue/actions the player can make? Or that the spanker takes the strongest implement the player has or the one they have equipped and uses that on Fee?
