Last Minute April Fools
Added 2017-04-03 00:44:41 +0000 UTCInitially, YinYarn and I were planning to switch content for April Fools Day, he would upload the Shatters Guide, and I would upload "Why the Sorcerer is Stupid", trying to mimic each other's style and humor. But then Yin got short notice work that ate up a lot of his time in the passed week, preventing him from being able to get it done, so we had to postpone the project until next year. When April 1st came, I assumed I wouldn't be uploading anything, but I felt so anxious and guilty about not getting a video out, that I dug up an idea I had saved for later: Fighting Spencer. I started brainstorming at 12:00 PM and got introduction finished rather quickly. But then came the battle itself. There is no preparation when it comes to swinging at air, you just do it and make it work in post-production. I had my uncle, Noah, film these parts, including some bonus clips that weren't shown off. It was 3:00 PM when filming was finished, and if I was going to make it on time, I knew I needed to work fast. And that's what I did. From 3:00-8:00 PM I remained in my chair, tracking images relative to my body frame by frame, and incorporating the appropriate sound effects and one liners. Boy did I luck out with NeedAWig's quote. There was a looming fear that people would think the video was stupid or "cringey" as the kids say. But, everyone, even Spencer himself, have enjoyed it so far.
