Thoth does have underworld roles, but you're right to understand that his main one is the god of knowledge, or more accurately, "the god from which all knowledge is derived." Egyptian magecraft would therefore be something he "shared" with the people of Egypt, and Egyptian magecraft deals a lot in death, decay, and necromancy.

Lisa will surely get an increase in her ability to gather information, but I don't know where the resurrection comes from? Wasn't that Anubis's domain? As far as I understand, Thoth was the Egyptian god of wisdom, the moon, writing, the arts, science... does science account for the resurrection of corpses?
