Final Update

Hello everyone!

First, some big news! I plan to formally announce it over at the Remtairy Patreon in a few days, but we have a new member joining me and Sachinama in Remtairy!! His name is Sinom and he will be helping us manage our ongoing projects with his experience and passion. With Sinom's help, I think we can continue to ensure that the quality of the eroges we publish will remain as high as they should be.

And with that, I think there is a need to bid farewell to this, the Rem's Diary Patreon.  After hearing Sachinama and Sinom's opinions, I've come to the conclusion that it is necessary to discontinue Rem's Diary. I think it would be a disservice to our fans for two Patreons to exist at the same time.

This is all started one year and a half ago, almost two years ago now, weeks after I recovered from the surgery. Back then, I didn't plan for anything, I wasn't thinking about the future. I just purely wanted to help bring eroges from indie developers to the west, for English speaking fans to enjoy eroge at a native level the same way I enjoyed them at a native Japanese level, and for Japanese developers to be rewarded properly for their work. I never thought that in less than two years I would fly to Japan, or be the first to have an uncensored eroge on Steam, or to hire staff, or be responsible for someone other than myself. I started this Patreon without much thought, as some sort of a blog or diary or log or the like, to keep myself motivated and focused during the process of localizing Meltys Quest. 

But now I have Sachinama, and Sinom, and other Japanese developers like Kamichichi working together with me, as well as all you fans who have been supporting me. So I think it's time to keep growing and move on from keeping a diary, for the sake of not confusing everyone on which Patreon they should support, or which one they should follow or read and such. 

So this will the final update on this Patreon. It's been over a year since I started this Patreon, and I want to truly thank everyone who has ever supported me from the bottom of my heart. Thank you. Knowing that I was never alone, that someone out there was expecting me to do my best, kept me going. 

I want to keep this Patreon open for archival purposes. Unfortunately, because this Patreon is set to 'charge upfront', I am unable to stop pledges from processing by switching to 'paid per post.' So Patreon will continue to keep charging everyone if they keep their pledge. I highly recommend for everyone to switch their pledge over to the Remtairy Patreon, which will be managed by me, Sachinama and Sinom. All the game development news will be posted over there from now on. If anyone who was charged for their February pledge wants me to refund it, please message me directly on Patreon and I will be happy to refund your payment for February. 

The game development news and reports will continue over at the Remtairy Patreon. For personal stuff about myself, maybe I'll continue on twitter, or in the discord, maybe? But I'll probably just not post anything about myself for a bit. Remtairy has grown beyond just being about me, so I have to grow with it.
