Breaking Bad 5x6 ''Buyout'' Full Reaction

Well he is a scientist. Either you believe in science or some gods :)

quite accurate. or this is what he always wanted... to be bad without hiding his true nature. i see Walt as a true person who doesn't pretend to say there is no God but there is morality in the world.. but as a person who calculates everything and if u do it right, you overcome everything.. even emotions without being punished by God or Karma

Cooking drugs and selling them is always bad. There is no need to discuss this. What Walter did was right for him in his situations. He always came out of it in one piece. We can now say "oh no, it's wrong and I would never do this and that" but that's not true. You can only say what you would do if you were in that situation. I believe that every human being is capable of killing others if the situation fits. If someone hurts your loved ones or does something bad to them, you would also resort to bad acts. Walter had a boring life and because of his situation, he got to know another life, which he likes. He has created something and it is his baby. He doesn't want to just throw it away. He is doing well.

clap clap clap! BRAVOOO! i felt like random person inside a theatre who is listening to a good play! but i remember that i have to be part of this play as well and i gotta give u credit for it Sam... Walter White... oh where to start... obviously he is a chemist, a scientist mind, and by the look of it.. an atheist as well.. and the last part is the most important.. also i am not judging anyone who is an atheist.. but plays a very big role in what i am about to say... i really like ur point of view on Walter i like the idea that you took, or extracted important phrases from significant movies.. and it makes sense! but Walter White goes beyond that.. and i will add another theory to this comment.. you mentioned ''He is not lead by pride, but by greed'' yes is true the pride though is to not be helped.. or to be prideful enough to show that he made it himself.. while relying on Jesse 24/7... but i guess is not the case anymore now.. we will see.. Walter destroyed everyone around him he excused himself over and over by providing with money by buying stuff.. by buying a car for his son.. and more like u said.. he knows he is doing bad.. and he does the right thing by keep doing what he is doing.. doesn't matter if is bad for us.. it looks pretty good for him.. and he knows bad things are about to come.. but he just can't quit anymore.. the amount of power he thinks he has after killing Gus.. makes him re-think the whole perspective on ''why he does all of this'' and now is too late to even consider going back he thinks he won all of these.. is the only real prize he has he knows his son will hate him when he finds out.. his daughter too.. but he went beyond the line or the barrier to even care for such things... for me Walter looks like a person who wants to hang themselves.. and is not struggling on how to do it.. or where.. but when.. after all of this.. i can't figure what i feel about him as a character i wish i feel sorry.. but even that i can't feel.. maybe we are witnessing a persona that i saw somewhere else.. at Hitler before the fall.. he commanded to every troop to die for their country.. even though he knew they won't listen.. the Allied Forces and the Russians were marching towards Berlin.. but he was shouting orders to defend with their lives... that's the perfect representation of Walter's persona Jesse became my favorite character in this show so far.. Mike has some humanity too.. but i can't feel too much for him.. cuz he killed too many people... and i feel sorry for Skyler.. the kids.. oh and Hank oh boy.. that guy? i can't wait for the day when he finds out the whole truth.. if that day will ever come.. Marie will probably have a heart attack

been through life and seen alot haha.. man i am getting old! but gotta say.. 90% of the time.. people become numb and careless when they lose what they care the most... is the main reason why i wouldn't judge a homeless person

ohhh yes yes! thank youu! i always forget...

ohh yess! was a hell of a scene! btw thank you for the heads up

Man, I love the Jesse, Walter and Skyler dinner scene.. I mean, it's sad their relationship is in this broken place but the way they played it out on camera with Jesse's reaction was really really funny.. we hadn't seen a Jesse and Skyler interaction since season 1 if I remember correctly.. so that was pretty cool.. And the women your thinking of that owns Grey Matter that Walter had feelings for is Gretchen Schwartz..

I don’t know what will be thought of me when I say this but… In this part of the story, I am actually one of those people that thinks Walter is doing the right things. Let me explain… Beyond Walt’s pride, which to me is NOT the real motivation of his actions, Walt is consumed by greed. He has the greed to get the money by his own means that he never got with Gretchen and Elliot. It wasn’t pride that stopped him from taking their job offer and their help; it was his greed to get his money his own way without needing anyone else’s help -- a lie he told himself since he’s needed Jesse all this time more than he’s willing to admit. He also has the greed to get out of this life all he can. His “pillow talk” in the first season was all about him wanting to take control of his life and not be a victim of it. We all know, deep down inside, that we are all not in full control of everything in our lives. If we were, we would have eliminated the suffering and mortality of all we care for by now. But no living being can eliminate these totally -- they are a part of life we always need to come to terms with in one way or another. The irony is that in deciding to choose a path to eliminate suffering and mortality, more will suffering and death will come (isn't that right Darth Sidious? ;-)). The greed to posses all and consume all, while facing every possible way a person could be killed, is what consumes this misguided man to literally become a mad scientist — mad with the insanity of supremacy. Sp why is Walter doing the right things? Because… he is fulfilling his destiny. He has chosen the path to destruction. He did it deliberately, he did it without reservation, and “he deserves this” as he says -- a phrase that has more than one meaning for him. He’s willing to put up with damnation as long as he gets what he wants. This is Lucifer’s story retold. This is Faust’s story retold. This is Two-Face's story told again (from Nolan's The Dark Knight movie). See if any of these quotes from those characters sound familiar and apply to Walt: “Better to rule in hell that serve in heaven” — Lucifer (Walt kills Gus and all the other baddies he faces) "Stay, Mephistopheles, and tell me, what good will my soul do thy lord [Satan]?" -- Faust "Enlarge his kingdom" --Mephistopheles (Walt says "I'm in the empire business") "You Either Die A Hero Or Live Long Enough To See Yourself Become The Villain.” -- from Nolan's The Dark Knight Movie (Walt makes it into 5 seasons of Breaking Bad!) Walt is the devil by choice, like Lucifer. Walt is an intellectual who sold his soul to be unsurpassed in accomplishment in this life, and doomed beyond this life, like Faust. Walt is a two-face, Mr. White/Heisenberg, dilemma who has lived too long for those he claims to care about. Walt is Breaking Bad -- a phrase that means "Raising Hell". He has brought Hell around him to all he knows. That was his deliberate choice, and hence his destiny. And, of course, that's why this man and this story is what it is. Bad, by its nature, seeks to break everything around it. So I'm all for Walt doing what he's doing. He is doing the right things -- the right things based on the wrong he chose to be. I like the Breaking Bad story because Walt is doing the right things -- in ways he, for all his chicanery and perspicacity, is actually oblivious to. He ruins himself and all around him that is bad. Being bad always does this -- it always results in total consumption of all wicked things, including the bad that bad chooses to be; devouring its host, like.... oh..... say.... maybe.... cancer! And this is the stupidity of it all -- the man just can't get past his own "intelligence" to see he is behaving like a doom desiring idiot. Personally, I like stories that show how stupid being bad can be. There's a couple of questions I'll leave to be considered... ones I've considered a lot in my life... Question 1: What's so good about being good? Question 2: What's so bad about being bad? The answers are: Everything and Nothing So... which one of these is the answer to Question 1 and which one of these is the answer to Question 2? ;-)

Marian brings up a great point in your end discussion that I hadn’t considered, very smart
