Breaking Bad 4x13 ''Face Off'' Full Reaction

hahahaha! i think Gus was blown away more by Walter's geniality rather then being blown away =))))) but we are way too excited for the season 5!

Oh, yes, the revelation at the end, you guys have awesome theories and preict a lot of things, but that realization sinking in at the end of the possibility of Walter having poisoned a child....a child of all things, someone Jesse cares about deeply. That point of revelation when you guys consider it a possibility was awesome, you guys will see the truth coming up in the 5th season. I can't wait! Trust us that everything afterward is too good, you will be blown away, Not like Gus though😂,

David Caine

oh man... i know this song!!! don't know where mainly! and yes is messed up beat behind it

i think so... God works in mysterious ways ^_^

i was thinking of that series for a while now.. we will put few series for a vote soon!

thank you so much! can't wait for season 5!

i cannot agree more! but you forgot to mention one little tiny thing in here.. Walter's sympathy for Jesse.. and you like me might wonder ''but why?'' i mean if you judge Walter's character.. you will see that he uses scientific logic more than God's logic.. so why Jesse? well bcuz Jesse allowed him to be himself.. and they weren't sugar talking it.. they had their beef and fights.. and that made Walter to find someone who can really be himself next to.. notice how sweet and kind is with his family? well compare his behavior next to Jesse and will distinguish who is the real Walter.. at the same time we see Jesse's character whose heart seems soft.. but his transition through pain made him fear death less.. look at the scene when he tells the cook what he wants with the Cartel.. and Walter just can't give up on Jesse bcuz of it.. and that's why Jesse is very important here.. bcuz in my own opinion.. it shows how you cannot deny God.. i mean Jesse even though he messed up 90% of the time or even more.. he is the one who will bring justice to this if i am not wrong... bcuz at the end of the day.. they are bad people for what they are doing.. is the only way Hank could get close to them and more.. oh man i just can't wait for the season 5!!!

we should! The Last Of Us is on our radar atm ^_^ we will see who ends up to be our next series

99% of every issue regarding them almost dying from Gus hand is Jesse.. i said it and i can say it all over again.. 90% of every case that resulted in a murder was solved by a moral code.. i been watching way too money criminal interviews lately... and i was seeing the same thing. sometimes the criminals will say half the story to appear as they are the victim (just to get away with less) but the other half is them being honest bcuz of guilt..) now this guilt if u dig deep into it.. it cannot be explained clearly with science.. but with a divine intervention.. and i believe here in this Show Jesse is played by such a character.. them trying so hard to become rich by cooking.. while playing a dangerous game.. Jesse was never made for this.. even though he always was the problem kid.. and that makes me like him.. bcuz his heart is soft and close to God.. while Walter uses logic.. almost like a scientist who denies God altogether.. but he is being caught up by it.. you can see how afraid is to lose his own family.. but at the same time putting a lot of value on his cooking skills and logic.. is a battle of good and evil..

16 left?? ohh weee! good think is not just 13 haha! but yessssss Walter won over Gus by far this time.. he played with Gus pride and Jesse's morality.. nobody could have pull such trick better than him... he should have use his brain like this long time ago.. but i guess the best version of ourselves is when we are cornered and afraid of dying

by thinking about it... the true mastermind is an will always be Walter White.. why? bcuz by allowing his logic to win over his morality.. made him the most dangerous character.. no Cartel and not even Gus himself would be able to reach such level of mastermind.. like i had it so easy that Gus will poison everybody.. felt almost like generic yes? but i wouldn't ever guess this one out!

yaaaay

Marian, about the lie about the ricin to the police... the more complicated a story is told, the more it's probably a lie :D keep it simple.

This was one of the most visually and acoustically subliminal content rich episodes in the entire series of Breaking Bad. And several episodes in season 5 have more! I’ve worked for over 40 years as an amateur musician, 20 years in video production, taken both subliminal induction and hypnosis crash courses for media, and I feel this episode has some of the most suspense enticing, subliminal elements of any television episode I’ve personally watched within the last decade. Here’s a music sample — the full version of the music that was played as Gus was in the car, and then left the car to kill Hector: Goodbye by Apparat: https://youtu.be/CjP3VlbIfDA Personal Recommendation: Don't listen to this song too much or too deeply before sleeping. You may not like the nightmares that pop into your head. Just pointing out here that there are subtle, psychological reasons that this series has been appreciated so much.

Sam Johnson

Yes, I second that. They really should consider taking on The Walking Dead, that and Better Call Saul when they finish up BB!!!

Joe Lazarus

I just realized, have you guys seen prison break? If not then please consider it. If you like breaking bad then without a doubt you'll like prison break as well, if not more.

AkhiTarzan

Loved this episode and seeing you both connect all the dots at the end.

I agree. Walter is definitely becoming dangerous. Poisoning an innocent child is just too much. However, all this beef between Walt and Gus started because of Jesse. None of this would have happened had Jesse stayed in his lane. Jesse foolishly and conspicuously trades meth for gas at a service station which allows Hank to obtain a lead about the RV which allows him to make the connection between him [Jesse] and Combo. Jesse neglects the fact that Hank is monitoring his activity and leads him right to the RV, forcing Walt to improvise to save them both which ultimately leads to Jesse being beaten by Hank, which Jesse blames Walt for even though it was his foolish actions that led Hank to the RV in the first place. He steals Gus' meth and blows the entire relationship between Walt and Gus by forcing Walt to save Jesse's life when he let his emotions cloud his judgement by attempting to kill Gus' two drug dealers. If he had listened to Walt and not gone off half-cocked it would have prevented everything from spiraling out of control from that point onward. Walt's also to blame for making bad choices due to his feelings for Jesse. He should've just cut loose of Jesse the moment he began working for Gus. I like Jesse for his heart of gold but he just isn't the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. Anyway, great stuff as usual, you guys!!

Joe Lazarus

Y’all should really consider reacting to amc the walking dead, one day :)

Steve Macaluso

He won!!! Also, at the end of the previous episode, when Gus has the gut feeling about the car bomb- its because Jesse told Gus that the kid was poisoned. Gus guessed its probably Walter that poisoned the kid, and that Walter is hiding somewhere nearby. Thats why Gus walked to edge of the parking lot and looked around, knowing that Walter was close and that the car was probably not safe to use.

Ravi

Joy of the Valley is correct! It's probably the worst thing Walter has done, but he also did the smartest thing he's ever done in taking Gus's face off. So I guess it evens out? Lol. Gus would've sensed the danger like he did with his car, but he was so enraged that Hector would talk to the DEA that he's blinded by revenge. In that world, you can try to kill me, but you cannot go to the police. That breaks all code. SUCK MY-- What a great season of reactions! 16 episodes left. It's been amazing so far. Thank you!!

Ellie Miller

Yes, you are right!!!!! He had to come up with a plan to get Jesse back on his side. So he poisoned the kid with something he knew wouldn’t kill him but would appear like the Ricin. It was one of the most genius moves of the whole tv series. Amazing conclusion to the season. If you watch it again it all comes clear.

The writing in the show never lets you down, and always surprises you.

Stephen Sliger

Letsss gooooo. Nice, now i can watch 3 episodes on my day off.
