I'm exactly the same, but I haven't watched it still because apparently there is going to be a season 2 and I can't wait that long if it ended on a cliffhanger.

It's super different from the original in a lot of ways, and I'm sure he's going to miss some things that he loved that aren’t the same this time around. But there’s so much to love about this new version that I’m sure he’ll really like it anyway.

But now that the season is over and there's been lots of positive reviews and buzz, on top of me asking him over and over, he finally got excited about checking it out lmao
