NOT A SUNGHO HATER LOLOL. DAMN. Haha yeah I've heard from friends that the subs are much better on Gagaoolala 😭 I'm considering watching on there moving forward but Philip and I usually have trouble reacting with Gagaoolala. It doesn't allow two people to watch simultaneously on one account so we have to subscribe twice just to watch together 🥲🥲🥲 And some shows require either me or philip to use a VPN to even have access to it which makes things laggy sometimes and our reactions done line up 😭 But I’m trying to figure out a way to make it work haha. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts with us! I’m excited to keep watching too hehe

It’s your turn to look after the house” (Remember Jungsun gifted Sungho the cookies he made on his date - which was cute asf 🥹) Also! Brian, you’ll be as horrified as I am to know that I’ve watched another reactor who doesn’t like Sungho and thinks he likes attention too much! I was like, don’t go after Sung-ho like that, I’m not surprised multiple people would be interested in him 😂 (I died in laughter though because the person reacting with them gave side eye and called them out asking if they’re just jealous of Sung-ho haha😂) I’m totally eating up all the drama of this season though ngl and looking forward to seeing how it develops! Hoping Junsung finally gets a date! I’m excited for you both to watch the next episode too, I think you’ll enjoy the Jenga chat’s.

I’m also so glad I’m finding such a healthy discussion here around Seonwoo - where we have differing opinions but can still freely discuss without being rude/mean (as I’ve unfortunately have seen elsewhere 😪) I don’t know why Brian, but when I was watching your subs some of it was actually quite a bit different from the subs I have seen 🤔 I’m in Australia so I watch it on gagaoolala and I interpreted/read a few conversations differently (esp. around SeonWoo’s POV) Just as a basic example, in iqiyi Seonwoo said that he’d rate his painting 9.5 and Sung-ho’s 8, but in gagaoolala it was actually the other way around where he said Sung-ho’s was better (as we all know lol). Also, he never directly said that he didn’t like any of the people that called him (other than yoonhee who I feel he is a bit more reluctant to consider an option), just more that he was didn’t know if he could respond to their feelings - which makes sense when I watched ep 4 and got the dialogue around his misunderstanding of Sung-ho when he first met him - which would’ve been during Day 1 (ep1) and then having a bit more of an understanding of Sungho but no date to know him better during day 2 (ep 3&4). I agree, I also do think he needs to be clearer - however, I’m also keeping an open/forgiving mind due to 2 things. 1) The potential of the editing by production, I found that Seonwoo is much clearer in ep 5 around his feelings, but for all we know he HAS been direct behind the scenes but the editing is leaving stuff out until later for better television. I remember for season 1 (spoiler for those who haven’t watched) where I think we found out mid season that Changmin was actually interested in Jeonhyun from the first day too, but just chose to call someone else, as well as making us suffer for 1-2 eps when he chose Hyukjun as a roommate instead of Jeonghyun and literally was like “I didn’t read that much into it. A room’s a room” 😂 Though maybe Changmin isn’t a good example of offering up communication first haha 2) the phone calls of ep 3 were done on day 2 - I don’t think it’s unrealistic for SeonWoo to be unsure if he can respond to people because he’d only had 1 three-way date and a date with the new person. In my translations he said that his thought’s around calling the people so far were more “I’m curious/want to know more about you” rather than actually expressing feelings, which is why I also think he didn’t call anyone back because then his people pleaser brain (I assume because same 🙃) would be in a worse off position of “I’ve responded to this person, they are going to expect something and I will now need to deliver” Instead I interpreted it more like “Okay, I noted your interest, let’s go on a date before I accept/reject anything.“

However, he got until episode 8 to get his shit together!

But the thing is that he’s choosing to take these guys on dates and do things for them because he feels bad and doesn’t want to hurt them. But that can be so damaging and hurtful because all these guys will get the wrong idea because he doesn’t even have feelings for them. He said he can’t return feelings to people who called him, and yet he still chose to go on a date with Sungho because (my guess) he felt bad that their initial date was cancelled. So he feels the need to do that for him even tho he’s not interested in him. And that’s why he rubs me the wrong way! This kind of behavior is reckless. Poor Sungho is getting his hopes up because of this!! I understand that Seonwoo isn’t intentionally trying to hurt them and he has rly pure intentions because he’s a nice guy. But it still doesn’t change the fact that the way he’s going about things is still a problem and will end up hurting more people in the long run

2023-07-06 01:53:22 +0000 UTCI get what you're saying about Seon woo and I felt it too, but I have to remember this is real life and we are not there, and the show is about choosing people to see if you mesh well so I get him calling different people. As you said I don't feel the chemistry 100% with Sung ho, but I feel like if they spend more time together, they could be a thing plus there is a lot we don't get to see per episode. Also, I do want Sung ho to give his roommate a chance, but at the end of the day if the feelings aren't there, we can't be mad and if the feelings are there, but we can't see it chemistry wise, and they work out we can't be mad either because it's real life you know. Overall, I think if Seon-woo stop being so passive trying to prevent people from being hurt and as he said fickle, then it will be all good for him. But, as another patreon said it's 14 episodes and this is only episode 4, so they can change their minds quite a lot. I still like Seon woo and maybe your minds will change about him in episode 5, and if not to each their own you know.

2023-07-06 01:52:02 +0000 UTCI am so happy I didn't have to babysit today so I had time to watch these almost right away. I am one of the ones who is giving Seonwoo the benefit of the doubt for now. Mostly because I've seen episode 5 and it seems like he has settled a bit. I mean, he also mentioned how he knows the fact that he wants to be perfect in front of everyone and as a lover is a fault. At least he's aware and is hoping to change. Hyungjin wants to date 3, possibly 4 people, Minseong's called a different person every night as well. For me it's still too early to bring out the jury, but I am still keeping a critical eye on Seonwoo for sure. It's only 4 episodes in with a 14 episodes this time so I think feelings will change quite quickly and abruptly right now, and we have to remember we only see a measly sliver of what goes on in the house compared to what's actually going on. We could be missing pivotal moments b/c the producers want to create a certain narrative too. I guess I'm being super open about everything so nothing really annoys me yet haha. I started rooting for Sungho and Junseong way more in this episode though. And I really liked the idea of Minsung and Hyungjun together, I'm bummed they couldn't go on a date. I want Yoonghee to get his date with Seonwoo at least, then if it doesn't work out it doesn't work out and he can maybe go to Jungwook or Hyungjin lol. I think you'll both enjoy episode 5 more for sure though!
