Hey! Back on some TD work these days. I completely reorganized my animation project with a different frame rate and resolution. I was working in HD, 60fps but it was overkill for the purpose, and made rendering sluggish. Now I'm working in the native game resolution of 640x360px, and I cut the frame rate in half. I think 30 fps meshes better with the animations created in Photoshop. I also cleaned up the organization of the timeline by breaking things into more separate compositions, as to not get overloaded with layers and keyframes in one comp.
It was tedious to reformat every scene with the new settings but now things are going much smoother. It helps a lot to be able to quickly render and preview the entire animation. This has already helped me modify the timing of things for better pace and syncing with the BGM. Hopefully have some new scenes to show soon.
In other TD updates, we've recently finished rebalancing all of the bosses and even invented some new patterns for some.
The to do list is getting small. This game might come out someday:)
