I thought this was a wonderful episode. I much prefer to hear realistic expertise to rah rah my side ism. Andrew and Liz both did a great job of explaining when things went into the weeds. Thank you for finding a guest who knows Georgia criminal law. This kind of episode is why I am a patron.

Snunkoople

I hate to be the person to complain, but I did NOT think this was a good episode and I hope this guest does NOT come back. First, I think it is entirely inappropriate for a professional to open his appearance claiming that the woman he is going to discuss is acting on making a name for herself. But for him to close his appearance with "I like to hear myself talk," was just...gross. Next, this episode was nothing more than a rundown of the things Willis COULD do wrong and the ways things COULD go wrong, only to conclude with the guest who listed all those things saying this whole case is a slam dunk. I am convinced it was Willis' action that lead to investigations in MI and AZ, these were coordinated efforts and need to be treated as such wherever possible. Last, I have heard this "18000 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LOCKED UP WITHOUT TRIALS" from exactly one other person, and it was a defense attorney I blocked in the Wonkette comments because they said Bill Cosby going free was the same of the Central Park 5 going free so I'm not entirely convinced that argument going to make the inroads for whatever it is this guest is seeking to do. There are PLENTY of reasons to hate Fani Willis. She was wrong to lock up those teachers on RICO, no doubt about it. But let me tell you this, I don't think the 1/3 of GA's population who have only had the right to vote for 75 years are worried about people in jail. They are worried about the fact that this was a coordinated effort to steal their votes. And though I am not a Georgia voter, I am a red state voter who went for Biden, and I have major YOU GO GIRL out to FW for taking down that orange bag of shit and the people around him. Merrick Garland wasn't going after this shit, and nobody was going on an on about Jack Smith screwing up EVERYTHING when he filed in Florida and drew that lunatic Cannon. Maybe your guest wasn't intentionally trying to drag Willis, but out of three people, he gleefully chose the Black woman to tell how she should be running this case and concluded with "I like to hear myself talk." I find it hard to believe there isn't someone willing to come talk to you guys for a good reason.

Ps as a non lawyer not to worry lol …I often liken this to eavesdropping on lawyers in a coffee shop. Only with a podcast I get to play things back several times to understand it as best I can…. So I already do that. I’m not going to become a lawyer, but at least my eyes no longer glaze over when I listen in 😎😆

C’mon

This is exactly why I support and listen to this podcast. Yes I like being in the liberal hopesphere but it doesn’t mean it’s good for me. Getting a full picture is necessary. We need reality.

C’mon

What is this about a Speedy trial in Florida?
