It’s easier if people do the right thing voluntarily, but technically, Jack Smith can file to get her removed. It’s not solely up to the judge to voluntarily recuse. The general feeling is he is waiting for her to really give him grounds for that. He also doesn’t want to go down that road unless he has to because it would take time. I chuckle a little at the talk that he doesn’t want to try and fail because that would get her mad at him and she’d ramp up her ridiculousness. She already hates him to the maximum degree, there is no higher level to ascend to. Jack Smith is just keeping his powder dry. Maybe he’ll win even with her in there, though I wouldn’t want to risk it.
