Hello! Sorry for the brief absence, I got pretty busy around the holidays, and then I wasted a whole week watching AGDQ, so I’m trying to catch up on my YouTube stuff now. There’s a link to an unfinished version of Spiral Mountain down at the bottom, and I also wanted to take this opportunity to show you how useful your money has been so far.
I thought y’all might wanna know how I’ve been spending your money, so here are some pictures of the most recent additions to my studio.

This is the thing that I’m probably the most excited about. This is a Scythe USB 3 Foot Switch, which is basically just a USB keyboard that you operate with your feet. You can assign whatever key combinations you want to each switch, so I’ve programmed all of them to trigger some recording-related shortcuts in Reaper. The left switch starts recording, the middle one stops recording, and the right one is an Undo switch, which I use to delete botched takes. Now I can record takes without having to reach down and fiddle around with the mouse every time I mess up. This thing has been extremely helpful so far, especially when I’m recording guitars, as I no longer have to take my hands out of playing position to reset everything whenever I screw up a take. Sounds trivial, but it saves me a lot of time and effort in the long run.

Here’s some other stuff I bought. I finally bought some professional lighting equipment, so hopefully my videos will start looking a little better. I also bought a mandolin for Spiral Mountain, and I had some money left over, so I decided to buy a flute, too, which I’m planning to use for Spiral Mountain instead of my plastic fife.
Here’s a preview of Spiral Mountain! I must warn you that it sounds like crap right now, as I haven’t started mixing it yet. Also, the flute part is missing, as I’m still trying to learn how to play this thing.
