Keeping the Clocktower Community Safe and Welcoming
The Blood on the Clocktower app has grown into a thriving hub of creativity, collaboration, and chaotic fun. We’ve been so proud to see how players around the world have brought this game to life - not just in the gameplay itself, but in the warmth and inclusivity they bring to every session.

To help protect that culture, we’re introducing SMS account verification for players joining public games. This simple step will allow us to better identify accounts that may breach our Terms of Use, and to respond more effectively when issues arise. NOTE: We will not be able to read your phone number.

Why are we doing this?
While the vast majority of our community plays fairly and respectfully, there have been occasional instances of misconduct in public games. SMS verification helps us preserve the spirit of the game, giving us tools to better uphold the standards we all value - without affecting private games, where friends and trusted groups already set their own tone.
We want public games to remain a welcoming and safe space for everyone, especially for new players discovering the world of Blood on the Clocktower for the first time.
