Philippines: Paul, part 1

First, I should let it be known that Paul was 19 years old at the time of this shoot, making him legal, despite his appearance. Anytime I shoot nude or overly suggestive images of a model I require their ID so that I can take a photo of it for my records (to protect myself, obviously!). The only exception is when the subject is quite clearly not under 18 😆

So, back to Paul. As you can see, he's a young looking guy and cute for sure. Most of these shots don't really show his face, but future ones will. This series has a really heavy voyeur vibe to it, intentionally. Here's the backstory:

Paul and I had met a year prior to this and had our first shoot in the outskirts of Cebu, which is where he's from. I met him through another, local photographer. Quite a kid, but he was fun, adventurous, outgoing and confident. I loved my time in that part of the islands so decided to return the following year (I was living in Beijing at the time, so flights were cheap). We had remained in contact since our first shoot and both wanted to shoot again. This time I wanted to go somewhere different, so I opted for Panglao Island in Bohol. I specifically wanted some tropical hut/tree house theme and found a great one on Airbnb. I booked it for the weekend and Paul and I made the journey there, which involved Jeepneys, motorbikes and a ferry. We did photos in the room, but then of course also made use of the nearby beach and even an abandoned old resort (pictured in my book for those who have it).

These first images as I said are in the theme of me being the voyeur and him just doing his thing. To clarify, he's using my trimmers to manscape - mostly his legs. I don't like fully shaved guys, and sometimes I don't mind all natural full on body hair, but only if it fits the guy. I think Paul looked better trimmed below his waist, especially given that he was so smooth on his upper body.
