HP/LOTM: Visionary - 372

Chapter 372: Christmas Holiday and Unwelcome Visitor

The next day, Aiden followed the twins back to the Burrow to get their luggage. Thanks to Sirius's shelter, Lupin and his companion and the Weasley couple decided to move to Grimmauld Place to live.

Although prophecy could cross the protection of the Unbreakable Vow and locate their direction, even if Senior Tom herself came personally, she couldn't find this secret hidden within the soul.

"This is so unfair! Why can Aiden cast spells outside school?!" Ron pouted.

"His wand is stored with me. If you also left all your wands with me and could still cast spells, then I'd let you go too," Mrs. Molly said. She heard this and tapped Ron on the head.

Ron shut his mouth. Seeing Harry snicker beside him, he glared at him.

Meanwhile, at the Burrow, George and Fred packed their things and headed toward the Muggle village next door.

"Whoa, what are you going to do? This isn't the time for jokes."

Aiden tried to grab George, but suddenly a weight pressed down on him. It turned out Fred had hooked Aiden from the side.

"George recently took a liking to a girl at a Muggle origami shop. He goes there every day to perform magic tricks for her."

After speaking, he even raised an eyebrow at Aiden.

"Does Auntie know?" Aiden similarly raised an eyebrow at him.

"Not yet. Right now, they're only at the stage of liking each other," Fred revealed.

"Well, I hope he manages it before Bill... that way I'll have material to tease Bill with," Aiden showed a mischievous smile.

"Then I suggest you go to sleep early instead. After all, dreams have everything," Fred rolled his eyes.

When George returned, the three of them returned to Grimmauld Place together.

"So, is the girl pretty?" Aiden teased.

"You know?!" George stiffened, then glared at Fred with an angry look.

"Actually, George didn't need to tell me. During this time, all of London has been under my watch."

Aiden held up two fingers and pointed them at his own eyes. Heterochromatic dragon eyes opened in their hearts.

Both shuddered at the same time, then moved their gazes away.

Returning to the Burrow, the twins gave Mrs. Weasley a purple hat decorated with jewels. Aiden similarly gave her a necklace. The twelve gems on it flickered with magical radiance, revealing the necklace's extraordinary nature.

Harry, beside them, also received gifts: Mrs. Weasley's sweater, the twins' products, Aiden's wand, and a box of live maggots sent by Kreacher.

Ron also received a golden necklace sent by Lavender, with the inscription "my sweetheart" on it.

"Doesn't she know you don't like such gaudy jewelry?" Harry was somewhat confused.

"Uh, most of the time we've been together, we've been kissing. There hasn't been much chance to discuss preferences," Ron looked awkwardly at Harry.

Then Ron saw Aiden looking at him with a teasing smile. And coincidentally, at that moment, Aiden also walked over with snacks in hand.

Harry turned his gaze to him and asked, "Aiden, it seems Tonks has been somewhat dispirited lately. Do you know what's going on?"

"She's taken a liking to one of your closest people, but the age difference between them is too great, so Tonks is very conflicted," Aiden answered.

Harry's mind immediately recalled the scene of Tonks using her Patronus earlier. Her Patronus seemed to have transformed into a four-legged animal. Combined with the Patronus notes Aiden had given him, Harry deduced that Tonks must have fallen in love with Sirius.

Then he hurriedly rushed off to find his godfather. After all, he considered Tonks a senior, not wanting her to become his godmother.

When Harry found Sirius and tried to beat around the bush with him, Sirius finally understood what Harry meant.

"But Tonks isn't the one who likes me. She wants to be with Remus," Sirius spread his hands.

Harry immediately realized he'd been fooled, but Aiden also hadn't actually told him which person it was.

"All right, stop worrying about it. Let them handle their own affairs."

Sirius patted Harry's head. "By the way, someone will be coming to visit later. Come with me to the front door to greet them."

Father and son came to Grimmauld Place together. Madam Amelia Bones, the newly appointed Minister of Magic, was standing outside with her assistant, Percy Weasley.

After Percy entered the house, he greeted his family. Mrs. Molly was in tears, rushing over to hug him. While Arthur and the twins watched him coldly, not saying a word.

The purpose of Bones's visit was to find Aiden.

"Since our last parting at the Ministry, I've been too busy with Ministry affairs to find time to visit you and Dumbledore," Bones started with some pleasantries.

But Aiden clearly sensed her change. The slight emotional distance in her attitude could not escape the notice of a Discerner on the mental pathway.

"You've taken in some conservative forces," Aiden said, piercing through the purpose of Bones's visit. "Or rather, you want to mediate between both sides."

"You should know that it won't work without them," Bones sighed.

"So the goals we established before launching reforms against the previous minister, you're also going to abandon them?"

The dragon's eyes half-closed. Yet the pressure revealed from within showed no decrease.

"This is politics. It's no longer the ideal society we initially established. Nowadays, Dark Wizards and Death Eaters are rampaging everywhere. If we increase the intensity of cracking down on them, won't it just push more people toward the Dark forces?"

Minister Bones continued seeking excuses.

"Whoosh," Aiden exhaled. "Then why bother coming to find me? Haven't you already made your plans, Minister Bones? Besides, please leave. I still want to spend the holiday with my family. I won't keep you."

Aiden waved his hand to send her off. Simultaneously, the twins and Ginny cooperated by tossing mashed potatoes at Percy. The two Ministry representatives were driven out of Grimmauld Place in this manner.

"What happened?" Arthur came over to inquire.

"Minister Bones wants to pursue an appeasement policy," Aiden stared at the fireplace.

"But wouldn't that allow dark forces to grow within the Ministry?" Arthur exclaimed.

"Sigh, I should have expected this. Minister Bones is a competent Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, but she is not a competent minister. As the cutting edge of the political power struggle, she considers following the magical law. But she completely didn't consider that magical law itself..." Aiden stopped and looked at Arthur.

"Magical law itself is something we wove to maximize protecting our interests, right?" Arthur helped him complete what he wanted to say.

"Or perhaps she didn't realize... heh."

Aiden laughed at his own words. This premature departure of a fellow traveler on the path of reform made him sad.

"She definitely realized it. Or rather, with her foresight and instincts, how could she not realize it? So everything is just an excuse."

Aiden let out a long sigh, then disappeared from the Burrow.
