This is an example of her good karma catching up to her. She was proficient at healing since she'd done it so many times to other people. She almost didn't make it, imagine if she had to struggle to remember the spells...

And for everybody with PTSD in real life: there are some promising studies using therapy in conjunction with psilocybin to help rewire the memories to be easier to process. Here's hoping they continue to show great success and that the therapies can become another tool in the medical profession's bag to help people out.

Doubt it would be something simply physical such as when she healed herself while dazed and confused she accidentally tweaked her hormone production so now she just needs to meditate and shift it back to its previous norm. More likely it's a trauma response. Feeling truly vulnerable driving the urge for the happy brain chemicals of sex. >.> Just a guess, we all have our habits to get us through life.
