And when his Mom says she doesn't like the changes that he made to himself, right after he found out that the person he changed himself for doesn't like him, it just cemented that things never work out the way he wants them to, and he is really tired of it.

2021-05-15 18:34:40 +0000 UTCPi is such a sweet character. I think he gets ahead of himself a bit in fearing rejection. Earlier in the series he saw himself as somewhat of an ugly duckling. So even though you can change your exterior self it may take more time to change your perception of self. Mork is quite fixated on Pi -- in a good way, but even good intentions can be misunderstood.
