Over a month ago I finished an animation project. A Dinosaur/Raptor Chase sequence. I only gave myself 2 weeks to finish it. Well, Not sure why I think it was enough but nonetheless I got used some cool techniques/tips during the process and it is time I share them with you guys.

Tip #1 | Raptor Shading
This is more of a process rather than a tip. How I used existing textures like colour, specular and normal map to create more life-like raptor.
Check the attachment (Raptor).
Also, don't forget to share some love to the original Raptor model creator:

Tip #2 | Animation Layers
Animation layers/strips and animation modifier (graph modifiers) are some of the things I often talk about. So why don't I give you a quick tip on how to use it and why to use it.
Trust me this method may look like nothing until you try to animate everything in one action and messed it up. So what is wrong with preparation for the worse?
Tip #3 | Night Time Lighting
You probably don't understand how useless is Moon as a light source until you start lighting your scene at night. This is not only a problem in real-world lighting a dark scene/night scene is actually very tricky.

Tip #4 | Google Colab
I have written an article about rendering with Google Colab over a month ago. I first started using this in this project and it did save me some valuable time.
If you like to know more about colab and try it check out my in-depth article on rendering your project using Google Colab.

So, that's it folks for today. It's been a while since I last posted a video or article. It has been a tricky few months in my country (Sri Lanka) and it has messed up a lot of things in my schedule. But don't worry, I'll try my best to try harder and will not going to disappoint you in future. Because you guys are The Best!
Thanks.
