Comic Trivia #38
Added 2020-06-24 20:00:00 +0000 UTC Here are 3 popular mistakes made by beginner comic book artists when it comes to creating speech balloons:

Crossing baloon tails! Happens when the character who speaks first is positioned on the right side.
Tangents - when balloon touches another balloon.
Inconsistent baloon tails and (on the left) - "needle point" tails.

2020-06-25 07:01:32 +0000 UTCEverything I know about speech bubbles I learned from seeing, not doing. You can learn a lot just by paying attention. This is probably actually unrelated to how I don't think anybody ever listens to me when I try to offer advice about speech bubbles. People don't really take composition advice from strangers.
