Tempest is in a semi-reflective state, that's true. And Thistle is annoyed and sad and concerned...but also just very tired. As for Lullaby, you know how little kids suck on their thumbs? And some need help to grow out of this habit, but nopony ever helped Lulu to do that. So she does it when she's anxious and stressed and sometimes when she's asleep. This is why Thistle is taking her hoof away, to help her break that habit.

Lullaby is in rough shape. It's another one of those where you REALLY see it even more, when she goes unconscious. And it looks like she is gnawing on her hoof again. It must still be hurting pretty bad. Prediction time: Thistle just said something Sharp & Accurate. The kind of thing that you know is true when you hear it, but hurts to hear. Perhaps something she needed to hear? Not sure. That interaction looks a bit interesting. Thistle: Mild Anger/Annoyance/Disappointment ; Tempest: Concern/Disappointment/Doubt (Despair?) Thistle: Disappointment/Sadness/Concern ; Tempest: Intense Anger/Frustration Tempest: Sadness (of the realization?) It looks like Tempest is in a semi-reflective, somewhat calculating state. Like she is trying to understand where it all went wrong. Then Thistle says something, perhaps pointing out one of her more-major misjudgments. A critical error she has made. Then Tempest lashes out in a "I did what I thought was right" sort of way, but then follows with an internal realization... The recognition of just how much she has been getting it wrong. Perhaps.
