Well...

My accent is worse than I've imagined and it may be the reason why this experiment might fail. I could always write a blog...

(I've just realised I should probably answer those questions on video ^^' I will. Blame early hour!)

... OK, now I feel like an idiot for assuming you were a guy. It's the second time I did that to an artist on dA too... Sorry about that. As for coffee... Ever tried India Monsooned Malabar? If not, I highly recommend it :) Oh, if I may ask, is the "No, you!" on your dA page a reference to 'Plan 9 From Outer Space,' by chance?

^^

Well, nice to meet you ^^

Thank you Charles! I'm glad to hear you can understand me...and I will try to answer your questions ASAP. Just to add for now that many non-British pronounce Edinburgh as "Edin-burg", but in UK it's either "Edin-bruh" or "Edin-buh-ruh" ^^

Your accent doesn't seem to be an issue to me. There was only 1 word that I wasn't sure I understood, which was "Edinburgh". But that was because I have only ever seen the name in print; I had never heard it spoken aloud before. So today I have learned how to pronounce it properly. ------------ My first question is actually about the manuscript. I didn't even know that was a thing that was done in comics. Though it does make sense, since plays & films have manuscripts, and a comic is similar in nature. (In the sense of telling a story and using visual elements for depiction) I was curious about where exactly the manuscript comes into play? In the series of steps that you follow in making these pages, where does/did the manuscript fall? Do you write the whole thing at once, or do you take it a section at a time? If you do it in sections, how far ahead of the inks & publishing is the manuscript? Second question, from where did you draw your inspiration for Thistle? Thistle is the national flower of Scotland, are there other elements or cues in the story that draw roots from Scotland? Did you model Thistle's personality from anyone in particular? We've seen only a few interactions between Thistle and Rusty. I'm curious about that particular relationship. Rusty sort of took Thistle's place on the farm, of course. But how much other interaction occurred between them throughout the years? What kind of relationship have they had (or not had) up until this point? Has Rusty ever threatened or hurt Thistle? If Rusty has sociopathic tendencies, that surely would have been a problem growing up. How was he kept in check? How much regard does he have for friends & family? Does he generally avoid conflict with family until provoked? Or is he unstable to the degree that even family has never been safe from him? Did he want Lullaby to fight back? Why? More questions to come later. Those are just a few to start.

Hmm. Maybe instead of talking about ponies I'll just talk about coffee after all.

I should try this coffee as I've never heard of it before and the website descriptions of it look interesting.
