Comic Trivia #27
Added 2020-01-28 09:07:21 +0000 UTCI'd like to show you how I format my manuscript, which is pretty much an industry standard and a variation of Dark Horse and DC Comics formats. It's also known as "full script".
First the page:

Now the manuscript:

While I don't really have to write any panel descriptions, I like to capture my initial, organic ideas about each scene because I tend to forget such details later.
Panel 1: OFF means the character is speaking from off-panel.
Panel 2: Each dialogue is numbered. This is important if you work with a letterer and since I don't, I skip that part ;-)
Panel 6: SFX means (obviously) sound effect
If this feels like a micromanagement, the alternative way exists and is known as the Marvel method, "plot script" or "Stan Lee method". In this style It's up to an artist to came up with the panel structure and how each scene should look like based on a story synopsis.
