2025-02-25 08:46:21 +0000 UTCTHAT PLAYA SURF AREA IS THE LEAST COOL AREA OF PLACES TO SEE IN COSTA RICA. ONLY DIRTY, CHEAP PLACE THERE... THE REST OF THE COUNTRY IS AMAZING. WE JUST RENTED A CAR FOR 2 WEEKS AND DROVE THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. THERE IS NOTHING THERE, BUT A FLAT, UGLY BEACH, TOO MANY PEOPLE, AND NONE OF THE BEAUTIFUL PARTS OF COSTA RICA MORE NEAR THE ECO STUFF. AND STAYS IN PRETTY BUNGALOS ARE CHEAP. GUESS MY FAMILY TRAVELS ENOUGH AND I USED TO TO UNDERSTAND TRAVEL WITHOUT HAVING TO HIRE AN AGENT...AND NO THEY AREN'T FREE! BUT AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY...JUST THE SURF AREA IS OVER HYPED WITH BROKE KIDS. THINK "THE ISLAND" BEFORE HE GOT TO THE ISLAND...CAN BE CREEPY!!! AND IF ON A RESORT ARE ONLY GONNA SEE STUFF IN THAT AREA, WHICH THERE IS NOT MUCH. GO NEAR MT ARENAL ABOVE AND BELOW. AND ANY JUNGLES WITH WILDLIFE ON MAINLY THE ATLANTIC. THE PACIFIC COAST IS SORTA DEAD. AND EXPECT BLACK SAND NOT WHITE CAUSE IT IS A VOLCANIC COUNTRY!!! BUT IS GETTING LESS SAFE SO GO, GO, GO....YOU NEVER KNOW???
