Fortnightly Progress - 16th March
Added 2023-03-16 21:18:20 +0000 UTC- No Haven
Been mainly been doing the planning for the whole bunch of assignments in this update to fill in previously done commissions. Today was puzzling out what I'm going to do with that spa drider one. Still don't even have a name for that one that I'm entirely happy with yet.
Rough gist is that it's going to be like inverse Hold Back the Dark where you send your guys and gals to the mountains again but this time you want to be nice to them. That's fine, but the question is how is going to potentially go wrong? Might just make it so the tricky bit is actually getting there, or the getting back once you've been there. Those mountains be scary, yo.
Direction polling for 1.00 is over where more conversion work was the winner. Now there's just one thing I so very much need to get out the way....
- The No Haven Conversion / Picarto Streams
I've not yet squished that dang quick start bug

Yep, worthy of the sad mimi indeed.
I wouldn't have been able to stream anyway on Monday as I'm doing Mothering Sunday stuff then, a Mothering Monday if you will, and so what I'm going to say is even if I've not fixed the bug by mid next week I'm going to start streaming anyway from next Thursday going onwards. Got to get those back on schedule even if it does involve me trying to puzzle out the mysteries that are the console logs in front of an audience.
- Commissions
January+February - They Choose You : It's out of 'oh dear' territory! Well mostly. At last it's actually making some progress. The sketch has been finished, has an extra stage now than what was planned to show a more gradual corruption, and looks genuinely great. It should, emphasis, should apparently be done by the end of this weekend. I wouldn't put any money on it though...
May+June - Laughing Trickster Priestess : As mentioned last time this had got to the final sketch stage. It's supposed to be done around now-ish? Sent them a 'hey how's going' email and I'm waiting to hear back.
July+August - Dominance Training : Even more stalled than it was last time. Some complicating factors make extra pushing not ideal which I probably shouldn't discuss on here. Very much hoping the stars will align and this can make some more progress past the rough colours stage for part 1 and the sketch for part 2.
September+October - The Shorty Set (Desert Neko) : After sp,e rather unideal ones it's nice to talk about one that is going fantastically well. Colours are partially done and it already looks great. Very much looking forward to the final piece which I'm sure you'll be seeing it soon. I already think this is by far the best work that this artist has done for me.
September+October - The Shorty Set (Kobold) : Got a choice of two artists I think will be willing to do this one, and would also do a great job with them. Both are working on pieces so they don't know that I basically have them in a race to see who gets this one.
November - Lich : Progress! Got the sketch a couple of days back. The pose is a definite improvement on what I suggested. Much better to show off the whole body and the library in the background is already looking really neat.
Up to Feb - Ripe for Exploitation : ALREADY DONE! WOO! Yes the caps are justified given there's one in this list older than a year now. New artist too, and I am pleased with how it came out.
Up to Feb - Land Piracy : Also done! Woo'ing intensifies. On here yesterday, and the other places today. Was done by the always superb Starli.
Up to Feb - Kreen Caravan Raid Aftermath : Fully confirmed as of earlier this week.
Up to Feb - Wind Swept : After a couple of fails with different artists I've sent the next attempt today, and I'm now waiting to hear back.
Up to Feb - Banshee : Artist is confirmed and they're planning to start this in April.
Up to Feb - Unattended : Lined up the artist and they said that they're going to have a look at the pitch in a couple of days.
If you think that was a lot just to read (and it was), to ensure these weren't going to be as much of a distraction to work on the next update I decided to do things a little differently with the pitches going forward. What I used to do is wait for the artist to be fully confimed and only then put all the refferences and details together. This time I decided to do them all ahead of time to make sure they were ready to go, and that took pretty much all of last week doing them off and on.
Including some bonus commissions I've got on the go for some patrons that I'm managing on their behalf I ended up doing a whopping eleven different pitches in that time. These don't just happen by themselves, taking a good while to fully put together, and so I'm very glad that they're now all entirely sorted.
The Alternate March Commissioon poll has been up for ten days and will be finishing just before the next one of these in two weeks time.
As for how it's going:

Oh my, well I genuinely didn't see that coming. Fulfil was out in front, and now it's actually fallen down to third. Grim Anywhere is now out in front with Orc Cum Addict Training coming in second. As for the three older options well they ain't doing so great.
- HMV
This is out now both on my Iwara and also it got put up on HMV mania. If you need a link both are on my twitter.
As always I hope that was worth the read, and thank you so, so much for your patience and support!
