Fortnightly Progress - 10th December

Going to be a quick one today as a) will be getting right back to the update after posting this and b) I figure a decent bunch of you are distracted by something else today anyway. 

So I'll just quote what I said in the Commission poll post which so far seems to still roughly be on track:

First quick update about the update. Still in progress which I'm aware really isn't ideal and I'm very sorry about that. There's reasons for it, but really they all boil down to just not getting enough done in November so all I can really say is that I apologise and work as much as I can to correct that.

Accentuating the positive, yesterday (edit: earlier this week) I managed to finish off two of the bigger bits of content coming in the update. One I knew was going to be a massive add in having a whole new race in the Thornheart Nymphs, even more so as their racial is probably the most complex one yet, the other being a lot more surprising which was one of the patron commitments for this time round. Pitch sounded simple enough to do a better version of two of the standard Great Plains trading assignment with an alternate payment scheme. Turned out being seriously silly with all the calculations involved and alternate text needed to reflect everything. Okay maybe I didn't need to do an alternate disaster if you go in the subby position, but I think it was a worthwhile add none the less.

So yeah really, really need to get it out by the end of this week, and not just end up saying that like I did last week. Even more so as I'll definitely need to also get the round of extra content/hotfixes done by the end of the following week, as after that I'll be away for a week for the usual seasonal family commitments. Okay seriously somewhat less usual given current year, but I will still be away from my main pc for a bit with a laptop only, and so definitely want to be in as good a state as possible before that.

• No Haven

Pretty much covered this above. Working on it hard, update will be out end of this week, with a hotfix to sort issues and add any missing content by Friday after that at the latest. 

• The No Haven Conversion / Picarto Streams

On hold to to late running update. Off chance I'll see if I can do something next week. More likely though is I'll kick things back off again properly when I'm back with the big blow out New Year's Eve stream which are always entertaining. The knack is just to avoid the whole passing out and streaming for over 48 hours thing again...

• Commissions

July/August Commission Poll - Decadence Like No Other Tagg: Came out and it's legit fantastic if you ask me. Starli was such a great find, and thanks again to the patron who introduced me to them. 

SeptemberCommission Poll - Deeper into the Infestation: Also got done and glad that seemed to do well with most.

September/October Commission Poll - Bar Fuck: Fully arranged and when the artist has done two other pieces will be starting this one. To quote them 'hahah, you are the only customer who has such detailed ideas XD' which really made me chuckle :D

September/October Commission Poll - Custom Orders aka The Horny Pair: Still at the sketch stage. 

November - Asanei Duellist: So for those who saw my mention of this in the commission poll post will know I didn't have all that great hopes for who I was asking to take this one. Especially how long it's been since the last one from them. Well, it's actually happening! Sounds like it is anyway. They reckon next week to start.

The poll for November+December has been going for a couple of days now and this is how things stand:

And it's legit close right now which is lovely to see. 

For those not on the patreon who want to know what the top three are about: Some Enchanted Nightmare involves a Shadow Outcast on a unicorn with her Human Commoner followers, and then with an alternate version where a far darker/more corrupted look for all of them is revealed, Word in your Ear this time round is going with a Nymph under the table what with them being added this update, Sky-Shaman involves a Icewyld Harpy with a menacing looking bell and would involve a re-write of that assignment to reflect that, Marshlands Lamia is to both get an examine and to have an added danger to exploring the Marshlands, and Listening to Whispers is a Cityborn getting the word on the street from a Hakh Dwarven.

Super exciting news, possibly mainly to me as I've been trying to get them done for years, but finally work on the Veil is beginning at last outside of scattered mentions and that lore page I shared for them yonks back. Sketches are being worked on now so definitely looking forward to how those go.

Speaking of a different kind of commission I got another old caption voiced by Senpai_Babe which you can find on the twitter. Had been thinking about getting a longer one done sometime when I had the funds to justify doing so. However they did a super crazy generous deal for Cyber Monday which had me scrambling to find a caption that could be done in under a minute. Super glad I did as the result is pretty dang great, and is one I'm not sure I'd have thought to have got done otherwise. I'm sure quite a few people have been listening to it on repeat :D

• Discord Assignment the 3rd

The orc farmers looking for hoes won the re-run poll. Currently we're on the discussing what form that assignment will actually take on the discord. Figure we can give that another week of time to talk about it more, and I'll work out what to do with it next Wednesday in regard to whether more voting is needed or we can move onto what the commission depicting the assignment will involve.
