Fortnightly Progress - 20th February
Added 2020-02-20 01:06:20 +0000 UTCJust finished Wednesday's stream, and as tomorrow (by which I mean today) is going to be a busy one I figure I'd get this out the way now given it is technically already the 20th.
- No Haven
Hotfix will be out later today.
Big chunk of content from the update being included in a bunch of hypnotic options being added to talking to. With enough triggers you'll be able to raise morale, lessen the effect of certain annoying traits to the point of removing them entirely, and even with enough adding some new traits.
Also comes with a bunch of fixes as per usual though this time there really wasn't all that many reports for this update which I'm taking as a positive.
I've also done a big brute force attack on the occasional corruption/biomancy attributing who is doing what issue by replacing all the name text variables in all of the different results and options. If you could do a bunch of that after the hotfix I'd appreciate that as with so very many there's almost certainly a few with dodgy variable formatting now.
One thing though despite brute forcing as much as I can I can't at all recreate is the missing clothing/armour issue. Now I've tried twice to do that variable replace attack and it doesn't seemed to have solved it entirely yet so that doesn't seem like a good idea to try again. So if you do experience this and can provide a step-by-step explanation of what you did to make it happen, even better if you can replicate it again, I'd really love to hear it.
- The No Haven Conversion
Don't think I was quite prepared for the menu passage linking. While the conversion has been challenging in many different ways, this is a whole new level of headache, and might unfortunately take the longest.
Reason is here this isn't something I have to directly convert. As RAGS handles things like pausing of the code in system with a simple command. Twine I have to do a lot more messing around making each pause and menu option a separate passage so I can ensure that the player can make choices to reveal what I want revealed and when.
- Commissions
September+October - Encampment: As far as I'm aware artist is still aiming for end of Feb.
November+December - To Hunt a Paladin: Bit of delay as artist reckoned first half would be entirely done by last Friday and I've not heard from them since. Here's hoping that doesn't mean anything too concerning.
January - Raid Human Village: In wonderful news the artist contacted me to ask if we could start this one sooner. Obviously I said yes and it's progressing nicely. For an off month piece it's looking seriously premium with already one of the best skies I've seen in any of the commisisons.
Bonus Commission: Gorgon got done, and the new art for Artistry in Flesh will be in the hotfix with the race addition coming in a later update.
Bonus Commission: Artist I've not worked with in yonks contacted me recently about a commission I hoped they'd be interested in doing last year. Idea had kind of been in limbo but to my amazement this is actually moving ahead to the point where you might even see by the next one of these.
Janurary+February poll has six days left to go. Maid Training/DM Pillow Talk equivalent with the Forest Goblin is winning the main and $10 polls, though in a break from the norm the human northerner slave training path is out in from in the $25. Not enough to make a difference even with the extra votes but does make it pretty close with all things added up it is currently 56 to 53.
Not one I had any direct involvement, but I get sent a fricking amazing and spot on Kestrae Harpy thanks to one of my patrons which you can see on the twitter. As some might remember from a recent commission poll I had an idea already for a Kestrae assignment so it's bloody lovely that I've got the go ahead for using her for that one in a later update.
- The Discord
The February assignment tier giveaway I mentioned last time on there is still ongoing. Had two entries so far and there's still plenty of time before the end of the month if you want to take part.
As always I hope that was worth the read, and thanks again for your support!
