I love Thicket! I love how relatable the characters are, I love the premise, I relate very hard to MC Gabe's struggle, I like the grounded nature of the comic, I love the art style, I absolutely adore the character growth we see from Gabe in this story. I've said before that seeing you work on this comic spurred me to start mine and Thicket will always have a special place in my heart for that reason, on top of the other stuff I listed. Oh, I forgot to mention the characters are sexy and the sex is hot. I feel privileged being one of the people that was here before you start putting out the finished product and it gets big like I'm sure it will be. The only thing I dislike is Joseph, and that's just cuz we share a name and I don't really care for him. He's a great character, he's just the only one I wouldn't want to be friends with--and probably Gabe's mom, but I'm just guessing there. And speaking of her, I really like how she comes off as this ominous presence or a force of nature more than just a person. I think you really sell the influence she has on him, and the influence strict conservative religious family members can have on queer kids. I really hope you put it to print once you finish producing the pages. I want a physical copy!

It feels like a very heartfelt and honest look into coming into the queer experience from a religious background. I could go on for a while; I resonate a lot with Julian's background and seeing what it's like to view that from the outside perspective of someone who had a much harder experience with family has been very thought-provoking. But needless to say it's been an excellent and very honest read.

It's a gay slice of life, coming of age type of comic so it's quite relatable for me. Bonus points since it's set it south Texas where I'm from instead of the usual settings you see in more mainstream media.
