Working on some store stuff / design stuff (3d printed shirts, etc).

My favorite part is near the beginning when Kaen drapes Hess to look at the egg and Hess watched them bond and only Hess understands how much this will change thier lives.

But in all honesty it was the feeling of triumph and glory I felt in my chest when Kaen realized why he wants to be an Adventurer. But my favorite fun moment was when him and ol gorl were dancing for the first time. It was so well written I felt like I was there.

2023-09-25 21:37:47 +0000 UTCI like very much the first chapter. It was well written and Pammon's mother as a powerful dragon as the top of the strength scale was well staged. This definitely motivated me to read on and makes me expect how we are supposed to get there in a realistic time (Hey ... life stone cheat! Did not expect you.. haha) For the main story..hmm...there are many little points that I find very nice. The stones in front of the house in the fight scene and how Kaen points out the woman for it afterwards. The first dance scene and the little mystery about it. The training with Bren and the scene with the boys. Pammon's kills/fights. I think the different elements are well connected sometimes with small sometimes with bigger points, whether humor, tragedy or adventure/action. It's enjoyable and fluid to read on - that's one of the most important thing (besides good and coherent world building and logically in world acting characters) for a story for me.

2023-09-25 21:15:52 +0000 UTCFor me the best moment was when Kaen first got Pammon and his baby Dragon was about to crap in his room. I laughed way too hard at that. Then he went out and had to stop him from chasing the chicken around. That entire experience was hilarious. π π€£

There has been a lot of epic moments, a lot of dramatic ones, a lot of heroic ones... but the one part that comes to my mind right away is, somehow, the simple wholesomeness of Hess kissing the love he thought lost for so long. I know this is a story about heroism and dragons, but... Sulenda and Hess being together, as well as Kaen calling this mighty old adventurer Dad, just makes me feel warm and happy inside.
