Ainim WIP
Added 2022-12-13 14:42:49 +0000 UTCHello! Thank you all so much for continuing to support me. I can't even begin to express my gratitude. Now that the semester is over, I should be able to post a bit more frequently :')
In my recent downtime, I've continued to work on this little drawing I've been doing of my necromancer oc, Ainim. I believe I talked about it in my last post, but I'm trying to recapture my "natural" way of drawing and coloring, as if I'm using real ink, chalk, and pencils instead of digital brushes to paint. I feel like I've gone through something of a realism phase over the last few years, where I felt like I needed to focus more on "accuracy" than the overall expression. And while I've learned a lot of invaluable things during that phase (and while I'm still extremely proud of the art I've made), I think it's time to back up and work on how to apply that new skill set to how I draw in my personal way-- to how I draw in my sketchbooks when I don't have to worry about anyone seeing it or judging it.
I hope this makes sense lol.
tldr; I miss drawing in a cartoonier way and am having fun experimenting/rediscovering myself.
ps- those are the names of the brushes I was using
