I started working again a few days after surgery last Thursday, and it's been slow-going. I don't feel totally awful, but I'm definitely not used to having to slow down so much, especially for something that seems as simple as fixing a deviated septum. For one thing, my eyes have been getting very tired very fast, which has been frustrating considering that both my job and the majority of my hobbies are exclusively sight-centric. It's been hard to stay completely awake for the last couple of days, especially yesterday, to the point where I came close to calling my doctor in a panic for the second time.
I'm fine, though. Between the anesthesia, surgery itself, the pain medication, my allergic reaction to the antibiotics, and my penchant for pushing myself as hard as I can... it's just been a lot, and I definitely expected too much from myself far too soon.
Bleh. Anyway. I promised a pile of sketches last post. I have a bunch- they just need to be scanned and uploaded and presented in a way that isn't an eyesore lol.
