Status Update and a little AI filter stuff

I just wanted to share where I'm at right now. Somewhere around the 13th of this month I kinda changed gears. I was having a really hard time figuring out where to go with Witchy Ex-Girlfriend that didn't, well... suck.
When I finished that last chapter I thought that would be a satisfying conclusion, and when I realized when I was wrong I kinda panicked and offered more than I planned to do with it. So now I'm in a bit of a pickle, because I'm hitting a real wall with it. It's just a deep story now and not a fun little ride as it was meant to be.
But I'll figure that out later.
Right now I'm wrapping up a Lucky story for a very late (but not as late as usual) St. Patty's day celebration. The idea came to me super late but it feels like a lot of fun, so I just dropped everything and decided to work on this and get this out ASAP. And it should be arriving soon, definitely this month. Then I'll probably just drop some Witchy pages and see what you guys think with the direction I'm taking. Maybe it's just in my head and you guys will like it, but if not I can just scrap it, we had some fun with it, and I'll move on to greener pastures.
Yet I'll admit here and now, I'm not good with conclusions. I think open-endings are great and I'd like you guys to imagine where it goes afterward, so those will probably still happen and I'll just leave them from now on.

Now that I got that out, I wanted to jump on the bandwagon of messing with AI to see what it does to my pictures, and I'm really happy with how some came out (if you can ignore the creepy hands). So I figured I'd share a few of my characters, modified with AI software, as a little bit of an appetizer while I finish this holiday comic up.

I think your endings are great. You have a knack for story telling. Don't despair, try not to be hard on yourself. You're doing great.

It was one of my favorite comic from you and can't wait to see how it ends. Also, which AI program did you use to create these images? I'm working on something and it would be interesting to test out this style for it.

Thankfully, we'll never see the latter here and the former just isn't how every story ends. I accept that most people telling you what they want you to do differently are well-intentioned but asking you to write more is asking you to write a different story from the one you wanted to tell which, to me, isn't reasonable. Writers may have people they seek the opinions of but the rest of us should just focus on what we enjoy.There's only one of you so it doesn't take many negative comments before I imagine it will feel like a pile-on.

Not to mention the creepy hands. I don't know much about computer stuff or how this works. I just got a silly app on my phone and got carried away, lol.

2023-03-26 02:20:37 +0000 UTCI think the Witchy story needs an epilogue simply because we never got the cathartic reunion of Pauline and our two MCs. The original story brings these threads together, while your comic version of it abandoned that and sort of had a backdoor pilot there. I think even a simple appearance of Pauline before the two of them later doen the like or something would achieve that catharsis.

I don't support artists who use AI in their work, so if it does become part of your process It would be good to know. The number of ethical and technical violations AI has in its current form make it impossible to support.
