I tried starting out with Envy on the right side of the page, and kept the two close-up action shots together in proper sequence, on the left. It worked, but it felt a little heavy on the right. Instead, I felt this page was important enough to make Envy the center of attention, and placed her in the middle. I'm not sure the action sequences work as well on either side of her, but I kept some of the dialog and balloons over the gutters, so that the center text above Envy reads first. I doubt it will make too much a difference, but I hope you enjoy the page all the same!

2019-11-23 21:33:11 +0000 UTCWell it isn't quite down to a science in the sense that I always know what I'm doing, but I do experiment - a lot. So it's sciencey in that way. For me, it's an ongoing battle between page composition and juxtaposition. Finding the balance between making a page look cool, and also having it make sense. If I ever get it down I'll be sure to let you know - in the mean time, I'm glad this one works :) Thanks, Tahldon!

With her in the middle and the two scenes beside her leads the eye into a triangle of action. It's a different path for the eye to follow but it does so very well. They attention can get trapped there (for a number of reasons) which is so good! But the word bubbles definitely give the reader a light beckon to come out of the action when ready. Man you have this down to a science, I swear. Great work as always. Inspiring stuff for sure. Also, Billy wants to penetrate Marvin, confirmed! 🤭

She's Venezuelan (blessings and good will to the ppl of Venezuela, times are hard 🙏). To be honest, I didn't put much thought into my choice, other than thinking Venezuelan women are beautiful, and I wanted to draw that, LMAO, I dunno if comes across or not, but that's my only reasoning.
